Dialogue Prompt: "I think I broke him."
Malik walked up to Ryou's apartment humming a happy tune. He couldn't wait to tell his friend about what he thought they should do on this lovely Saturday afternoon. He had a feeling that Ryou would really enjoy what he had in mind.
The Egyptian burst into the apartment much like he usually did by throwing open the door with a wide smile on his face. Ryou hated when he did this because of the scuffing it did to the wall behind the door, but Malik figured that was Ryou's fault. Honestly, if the white haired teen didn't want him to barge in, he should start locking the door. It really wasn't safe to keep it open like that.
As Malik made a mental note to tell his friend to start locking his apartment door, the teen realized the strange situation he had just walked in on. Before Malik was his best friend curled into himself on the couch with Bakura hovering over him with a look of intrigue on his face. The yami didn't even turn when Malik slammed the door open rather loudly.
"What's going on?" Malik asked as he approached the two other males. Once he was right next to Bakura, Malik could make out his friend making soft muttering to himself. "What's wrong with Ryou?"
"I think I broke him," Bakura answered without taking his gaze off of the boy whose eyes twitched occasionally and seemed unfocused on anything.
"Broke him?" Malik asked, looking at Bakura with interest. "How did you do that?"
The former spirit shrugged. "I deleted all his recordings on the television earlier today and found him like this an hour ago. I tried snapping him out of it, but nothing has worked so far. He may just have to snap out of this on his own."
"Aww really?" Malik groaned. "I was really looking forward to going to the pool today. Who knows how long it will take for Ryou to snap out of this?"
After a moment of depressed silence, Malik turned to Bakura with hopeful eyes. "Do you want to go to the pool with me?"
Bakura thought about this proposition for a moment before shrugging. "Sure, why not?"
With that, both Egyptians left the apartment without so much as a second glance at the poor, traumatized Ryou twitching slightly on the couch.
