A/N: I own nothing. The song belongs to A Fine Frenzy, and PJO belong to RR.
Swan Song:"Are you sure you're going to be okay?" The daughter of Aphrodite asked worried.
"I'm sure," the son of Hephaestus said and kissed Silena on the cheek, "I'll be back tomorrow."
Silena was still worried, but she didn't say anything else. After the Pegasus disappeared over the clouds, Silena's hand went to the necklace Charlie has given her to her birthday. The pendant was made of white metal and was picturing a swan.
Wretched, look at me, I've lost it, melting on the table
In parking lots and markets
I can't help it, I love you like a starfish loves the salty water
Like a selfish daughter
Charlie said the swan was supposed to be her. Innocent. "If you only knew how wrong you are, Charlie," Silena thought at the way back to the cabin. The Aphrodite cabing was neat as always, the Aphrodite campers was putting on makeup or gossiping, but turned silent when Silena came inside the cabin. "I could never hurt them," Silena thought when she laid down on her bed, "at least not on purpose".
Yet I wrote the words to the swan song
The author of the wrong
Luke. He was so charming. Silena really wanted to believe he was true. "You are saving lives," he promised then. Now he promised not to hurt Charlie, how could she refuse?
And I said what I said and I meant it
But now I regret it
Yes, Silena believed him, but not anymore. Not anymore. When Percy came back without Charlie Silena cried for days. Many of her siblings tried to comfort her, but nothing worked. One day after Silena's phone call to her dad, a box of chocolate was waiting for her on her bed.
Foolish, how was I so careless
Pawning off my treasure, the envy of an heiress
Now my dollars are crumbled in my pocket
How can I reclaim it?
What if someone's got it?
The war began without Charlie, and Silena. Her body was there, but not her mind. One of her sisters got hurt because of her carelessness. Like Silena needed any more lives on her conscience. That sister was Drew, and after that, Drew never forgave Silena.
When I wrote the words to the swan song
The author of the wrong
And I said what I said and I meant it
But now I regret it
Silena was flying as fast as she could back to camp. As she thought Clarisse said no, but Silena didn't take "no" as an answer. She was tired of feeling weak. She was tired of being scared. And she was tired of being Kronos servant.
How could the world have turned so ugly
I am dying
Could you touch me again?
Touch me again
She charged to drakon, but she wasn't trained to fight drakons. But she couldn't stop. She didn't want to stop. Then a pain started to spread in her body, but she couldn't scream.
When I wrote the words to the swan song
The author of the wrong
And I said what I said and I meant it
But now I regret it. . . . .
