Autopilot Disengaged

Jack Cahling wakes up on a mysterious station he's never seen before. All he remembers is the cyro chamber he woke up in. He soon finds out that the station, Station Goodwill, has suffered major damage. Jack needs to escape the vessel with the help of Aiden. The AI for the station.

Number of Cryogenic Chambers ... 20 ...

Number of Cryogenic Chambers Offline ... 19 ... All inhabitants dead.

Number of Cryogenic Chambers Online ... 1 ... Emergency Wake Up Activating ... Starting Sequence in 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...

I gasp from the coldness that I awaken from. All my limbs seeming to be frozen together. "Emergency Wake Up Activated" I hear a voice as the door in front of me opens. I slowly climb out. All I hear is alarms blaring. I look around the room to see the same Chambers that I was in. I see a terminal by a door and a switch that reads "Alarm Shutoff" I pull it down and the blaring stops. Next I walk over to the terminal and and touch it.

The screen flickers on after a couple of seconds. "Hello and welcome to Station Goodwill. I am Aiden, Artificial Intelligence for Democracy, Education, and Nationality on this station." A small door opens on the terminal. "Please enter hand for scanning procedure," I hesitantly put my hand in the hole. It makes a beep and a blue light starts to scan my hand. A window pops up on the terminal. "Name: Jack Cahling Age: 22 Occupation: Security Guard."

Aiden finishes talking and a new pop up comes onto the screen. "Life support is at 40%, air supply is low, and gravity normal. The station has sustained major damage. Unknown cause. Theories: Enemy attack, bomb detonation, civil war, or hostile life form." A new window pops up showing number of life forms on station. 1 Human (me), and ? Number of an unknown creature.

"No escape pods available. One ship available though." The terminal shakes and a watch with a future-esque screen comes out. "Escape route found and tracking on hyper-watch." A big danger sign pops onto the screen. "Proceed with caution. I shall talk to you with the hyper-watch from now on." The door slides open. I take a look back to the cyro chambers. One chamber's glass is broke and the body inside is half-eaten.

I shudder and walk through the door.
