This is how I felt after the World Trade Centers fell, and I was inspired to write this in honor of them.

The Day the Earth Changed Forever
In honor of those who lost their lives and gave their lives for their country, pride and freedom. They will be missed and remembered for the rest of our lives.
Clear blue skies, that's how that day started out.
Normal life like every morning was just beginning, where the only thing to worry about was if you would be late for work or what was for dinner that night.
No one thought they were going to die that day.
No one thought that they would lose a loved one.
No one thought the world would stop.
No one wanted to believe it.
Some perished as heroes, others died without the realization of dying.
Smooth and swift.
No pain was given.
What people don't realize is that the ones who made the attack did so because they believed they were doing the right thing.
But it still doesn't change the fact that so many were killed for no reason entirely known to us.
Many were in the comfort of their homes, their office, their school, and many were there on that day.
The day that hell opened up its gates and demons were set free to do what ever they pleased.
People fought against those demons, and protected the ones they loved.
Complete strangers helping strangers.
All coming together as one.
No one was black or white.
No one was Jew or Muslim.
No one was Christian or Atheist.
No one was cowardly.
Everyone had become one.
Strength thrived in one body.
They had banded together that day.
The men and women on the planes and ground made a banded resistance that gave us hope.
When hope was so far away.
They gave us the strength to move on and help whoever we could.
They gave the world strength to fight back.
To destroy the demons that Hell sent out, and push them back to their prisons.
That day will forever haunt the memories of those who lived it, breathed it, and protected others that day.
To protect the ones they love.
To give their lives for their country.
It will haunt them with its terror and horror, the screams left to fade.
But one thing is for certain.
The world has taken those lives given and taken far too soon, and given us the chance to see them as they truly are.
HEROES.
They gave us the will to live.
To love.
To hope.
To live another day.
We will never fully realize the sacrifice they made, but we will try to appreciate fully the price they paid.
All left family and loved ones to live on and give others the story of their lives.
We thank them for their COURAGE.
Their STRENGTH.
Their PRIDE.
We thank them for their lives given, so others could go on.
We will never forget you.
We will remember your sacrifice and will take it to heart.
Thank you, for everything.
