Sima Yi glared out of the window, the blossoming trees mocking him with memories of Shu. He turned away exasperated, he was Sima Yi, this should not be happening. First Zhuge Liang had outwitted him again and now this! He had retrieved a successor, and a damn good one at that. What did Sima Yi have? The Cao family. How lucky was he to serve them. He shoved papers off of his desk, pulling himself up to sit on it.

"Damn it," He growled staring at his failed strategies. "It's always that stupid kid…"

Stupid? Probably the wrong word to describe the boy, perhaps irritating worked better. Zhuge Liang always knew how to manage the kid, putting him to use where he excelled, and because of that it was very nearly like two brains against one. How in China was he supposed to destroy someone he didn't know? Oh, Sima Yi had been studying the brat, but he was merely a bump in the road. If he could upset his position the kid would be vulnerable, but that was the hard part.

The kid was talented, maybe not the smartest in the bunch, but under Zhuge Liang he'd soon become good enough to almost match wits with Sima Yi. He scoffed recalling how easily the kid wielded his spear, with such grace and elegance, ugh; none of the Cao family was very graceful. Sima Yi hated him, for everything he was. For thwarting his plans, for killing his army, for having Sima Yi so stressed out.

"Why is it Zhuge Liang gets everything?" He whined like a child. "He already has a girlfriend…"
