The following you are about to read is basically my own little take on the cartoon community, yes I know I'm a little late to the party. Still, all I ask is that you do not take what's I wrote in this one shot seriously. What I wrote here does not reflect how I fully feel about these shows in general.
Our story begins in the Cooper gang hideout ,where we find Bentley in the kitchen ,who just finished up makin a tub of popcorn ,before making his way to the living room.
Then just as he was about to sit on the couch and enjoy some afternoon T.V., he was shocked to find Murray already on the couch with the remote control in his hand.
"Murray ,what the heck are you doing!?" Bentley asks in a startled and frightened tone ,"The new episode of Steven Universe is about to come one soon!"
Murray however retorts back in an excited tone "sorry Bentley, but there's a new episode of Star vs. The Forces of Evil on today ,I cannot miss a single minute to see Star and Marco in action kicking butt!"
Bentley after hearing this ,is appalled as he replies "seriously Murray, you'd rather watch a witless hyperactive brain rotting show like THAT, then a show that incorporates actual substance?"
Murray defensively replies "hey come on Bentley ,the show isn't that bad I mean it's at least cheerful bright and has tons of action."
Afterwards, Murray then takes Bentley's tub of popcorn without his consent, in which he begins to grab a handful.
"Besides" adds Murray who begins to munch on that handful of popcorn, talking with his mouth full "Its at least more fun that a boring show about rocks with weapons."
"Well Murray ,at least with Steven Universe you would at least LEARN something, because in case you haven't noticed, those rocks with weapons your talking about are gemstones that project humanity as humans!" explains Bentley.
Murray argues back in annoyance "hey Star Forces of Evil DOES teach something Bentley, it teaches people how to look on the bright side of things!"
Bentley afterwards ,replies "well I'm sorry Steven Universe doesn't meet your standards with taste in high quality animation T.V."
Murray standing up from the couch ,replies back "well I'm sorry you'd rather take a depressing rock show ,over a show that you can at LEAST have fun with!"
This leads both Bentley and Murray to argue over one another ,as if they were spoiled children.
It didn't take long before Penelope walks in to see what was going on, before witnessing her two teammates argue .
"Whoa whoa Murray, honey, what's gotten into you two?" asks Penelope in concern ,after breaking up the argument.
Bentley annoyed ,then says to his wife "Penelope, please tell Murray he should learn to appreciate a show like Steven Universe."
Before she could unfortunately, Murray interrupts her and says "Penelope ,tell Bentley he should learn to lighten up and enjoy a show like Star vs. The Forces of Evil!"
"Is that what this is about, cartoons?" Asks Penelope in a perplexed manner, before she begins ranting with disbelief "you both should be ashamed of yourselves!"
Afterwards ,she then comments "honestly if you guys want a really good show to watch, a new episode of the DuckTales remake will be on in a bit, your welcome to watch it with me if you like" while she seats herself on the couch, snatches the remote from Murray and flips the channel ,before wrapping an arm around the tub of popcorn.
Both Bentley and Murray where in disbelief after hearing what Penelope stated.
"You would rather watch a remake of some old cartoon show then something more sophisticated like Steven Universe?" Asks Bentley in disbelief.
Penelope then replies "well I'm sorry you boys mistake old for retro ,its not my fault you can't get into a different take on the classics."
Bentley then argues back "excuse me, I'll have you know that Steven Universe happens to be a modern classic mind you!"
Murray in spite ,simply replies "like heck it is!"
It's here we see Katrina enter the room after hearing her three teammates argue.
In annoyance ,the feline then asks her teammates "like what the heck is going on here?"
"Well Katrina, in case you couldn't tell I wanted to watch the new Steven Universe!" Explains Bentley.
"I wanted to see the new Star vs. The Forces of Evil" Murray says afterwards.
Finally Penelope explains "Well I intend to watch the new episode of the Ducktales remake see it involves-"
Katrina interrupts Penelope with irritation ,saying "Gag! Like i want to hear about how you guys are totally being whiny babies because your missing your lame shows."
"But honey" Murray says in his defense "you don't understand, it's a brand new episode of Star vs. The Forces of Evil ,you know I can't afford to miss it if these guys are gonna watch new episodes of their shows."
"Like Murray ,I know I like love you and your my husband and junk ,and I totally understand it's your favorite show, but like honestly you watching that show is like those bronies with My Little Pony" Katrina says with a concerned tone on her voice, in which Murray then starts to cross his arms in anger akin to a little kid whose ball was taken from him.
She then turns her attention to Penelope, saying "and Penelope HELLOOOO! Wake up and get with the times, no one cares about some lame old reboot from a show from the nineteen eighties duh!" Much to Penelope's shock and bewilderment ,as she says "well excuse you!"
Then Katrina looks at Bentley with the same annoyance ,and says" and Bentley ,like your literally telling me you watch a cartoon like Steven Universe, a man who is like all into science and junk?" And in Bentley's defense ,he replies "I'll have you know some of the show's concepts intrigue me!"
"Whatever" Katrina says smacking her lips, in which Penelope then proceeds to ask "alright Katrina, then WHAT show may I ask WOULD you consider tolerable?"
Katrina Simply answers with a smirk on her face "well The Loud House duh ,its like only the BEST show to ever air on Nickelodeon, and it'll be on any minute."
When they heard this Penelope, Bentley, and Murray where frozen stiff for a good minute, before they begin to laugh thunderously at their feline friend.
"What!?" Katrina asks unsure why they where laughing.
Bentley after reclaiming himself says "sorry to say this Katrina, but if its a show that's airing on Nickelodeon ,you're wasting your time already."
"What do you mean?" Katrina asks ,in which Penelope sums it up for her saying "are you serious? Everybody knows that any show that airs on Nickelodeon is immediately doomed to failure."
Then Murray while holding back his laughter ,says "I mean did you even notice the networks reputation begin to drop after the late two thousands, no show can be that awesome if it airs on a network as bad as Nick."
Katrina feeling insulted by all the trash they are talking about the show, angrily says "Ugh ,you guys are literally being total doofuses ,if your hating on a show that like at least treats its audience like actual people!"
Bentley after he bursts out laughing, replies "I didn't know toilet humor was YOUR definition of being treated like an actual person."
When this was said, the four friends once again begin to argue over one another about each others shows.
Their arguing was so loud ,it ended up getting Sly and Carmelita in the room with annoyed looks on their faces.
The more and more the arguing continued, the more it made Carmelita shout "STOP!"
When they abruptly do so ,Sly afterwards asks " what the heck is up with you guys ,your acting like your preschoolers?"
"I like want to watch Loud house" answered Katrina, "I want to watch the rebooted Ducktales" says Penelope.
Carmelita ,then turns to Murray to ask what he wanted to watch, saying "well I want to watch the new Star vs. The Forces of Evil."
Then Sly turns to Bentley, asking "and Bentley?" In which he replies "you know its obviously Steven Universe, a show that's worth watching for its narrative story, well developed characters ,not to mention worth your time. And I do not want to miss another minute."
"Well you're all too late on that now ,you probably missed them because of your arguing!" Carmelita states, much to the others shame.
"Honestly ,you guys know we have internet access right? Two of you can just watch your shows in the other room online" Sly suggests.
Bentley answers back in a sharp tone "Sly ,you know well that shows are better when your one of those people who see the official release on T.V. ,just because we're thieves doesn't mean we have to live like them you know."
Sly rolling his eyes says "well good for you ,but when the kids are at school ,I would like a quiet afternoon with one of my favorite shows."
"And which show is that honey?" asks Carmelita, interested in which Sly then says "oh you know just a certain cartoon show" ,thus getting everyone's attention and interest, as Murray asks "which one?"
Seeing all the attention he is getting from the others, he replies "Gravity Falls" in which Carmelita asks "seriously?" Sly in his defense ,says "hey come on ,how can anyone go wrong with disney ,plus I kind of relate to Dipper in how smart and skilled he is."
Carmelita after hitting the back of his head, says "honestly, you're just as bad as them!" In which Sly while rubbing the back of his head, asks "alright honey , what show would you consider worth watching?"
All eyes where now on the fox woman "well ,since you ask" says Carmelita "its Elena of Avalor" in which makes her teammates begin to laugh at her, as Penelope asks her "you actually like watching a spinoff to a preschool show Carmelita?"
In her defense ,Carmelita replies "hey it actually brings some light into some the cultures of south america, despite the fact it's a fantasy, and it makes for better entertainment you people consider good."
At this point the whole gang began to argue over one another on which show is better.
This continues on for a good two hours, before we see Sly and Carmelita's kids enter and greet them, accompanied by their friend and Bentley's daughter Patty ,unaware of their parents arguing.
As soon as the trio of kids sit at the couch and set their backpacks beside them ,they immediately turn on the T.V.
What started to come on T.V. abruptly interrupts the Cooper Gangs arguing ,when they hear what was on much to their surprise.
Looking from behind the couch, they gang got a good confirmation that their kids were watching Teen Titans Go ,which leaves the gang slack jawed.
"Teen Titans Go?" asks Penelope.
"No way" Sly says in disbelief.
"They actually like this show!?" Asks Murray in more disbelief then Penelope.
This makes the kids shush them, as Alyne whispers "daddy , its a new episode."
"We don't want to miss a minute" says Vincent.
Afterwards, the kids then return to watching the show ,as Sly and the gang quietly leave to the next room.
After they were at a safe distance from the kids hearing point, they continue to remain silent for a bit more ,before they suddenly start breaking down into a fit of laughter.
"Who would've thought ,our own kids actually like Teen Titans Go" laughs Sly.
Carmelita calming down replies "well it does make sense ,I mean they are children after all."
"Man I so can't believe we like got worked up for nothing" Katrina says in regret, as with Murray who says "at least they're a little more mature than how we've been acting."
Afterwards, the crew apologize to one another over how they've been acting, and what they said about each others shows.
With that said, they decide to take Sly's suggestion and watch their shows online, at least until lunch.
