Forgotten in Time
"Misa, you're making a mistake" Rem spoke in her usual tone.
"Don't treat me like a child! Light is my destined love and I'll meet him even if it's the last thing I'll ever do!" The whiny blond pouted at the shinigami with annoyance.
Rem was never greedy, but she couldn't help but feel betrayed. Every bone in her body shivered at the sound of the devious name; "Yagami Light"
In time, she'll be forgotten, Rem thought as she watched the sides of her bony shoulders crumble to the ground in the form of soft, gray dust. Her body was giving in, but she could still feel the trickles of sand dryly rolling down her chin. Rem blinked and lowered her head further. The shinigami knew her species weren't meant to feel such overwhelming emotions, and yet, here she was. Slowly fading away into valueless nothing, Rem reviewed her pathetic life. How could she have fallen for a human? The being would wonder every now and then. Rem knew the consequences and yet, she didn't care. Every time Misa glanced at the unworthy, ugly being lovingly, eyes full of light and hope, Rem couldn't help but feel something where her heart would be. Misa was precious, sweet, too pure for this world…. Rem thought, as she fell softly onto her knees, and fell over in a puff of dust, each one holding emotions stronger than love itself.
Rem was no longer
