'I may have sort of accidentally adopted 5 cats'
Rose contained her laughed as the Doctor sat in the Tardis control room with a small kitten perched on his head whilst another sat on his lap, three others roamed freely around.
"Erm…I have only been gone about half an hour…" She said raising an eyebrow.
"I got bored…" He admitted. "I went on a bit of a trip whilst you got chips…"
"I can see that…" She placed her lunch down, biting her lip. "Any time you want to explain…"
"I may have, sort of, accidentally adopted five cats…" He turned his head to her the kitten tilting its head to one side.
She burst into a fit of laughing as he took the small animal from his and put it on the floor.
"Have you finished?" He asked and she put her hand to her mouth.
"One second." She took a deep breath. "Yeah I'm okay now…"
She sat down beside him picking up the kitten that had taken a liking to him and cuddled it. "I thought you weren't a cat person anyway?"
"I'm not…"
"Then why did you buy five?"
"Why do I do a lot of things?"
She laughed again. "These are normal cats aren't they? They're not from some alien planet somewhere and they actually turn into lions when the moon is full?"
He looked at her as though she was insane. "No…these are from Earth…little rescue centre…"
"Let me get this straight, you got bored and out of all the planets and times you could've gone to whilst I got some food you decided to go to a pet shelter?"
They held each other's gaze for a minute or so before neither could keep a straight face any longer and both found themselves in uncontrollable laughter again.
"I…I don't even know what to say…"
"What are we going to do with five cats?"
"I have absolutely no idea…"
Rose held the kitten in her hands up to look at it properly. "This one seems to really like you…"
"Yes, me and Thomas developed a bond in the time he spent sitting on my head…"
"Thomas?"
"Good name for a cat…"
She smirked. "As in Thomas O'Malley from the Aristocats?"
He looked away for a moment. "Maybe."
"They're all named after characters from that film aren't they?"
He picked a white one up.
"oh come on doesn't she look like Duchess?"
She smiled. "Why did I let you watch Disney films?"
