The sounds of my heart and laughter hit my ears. I couldn't move because I was so scared and nervous. I guess you could say I gave into peer pressure this time. I was dared to explore the creepy mansion on top of the hill. At the dead of night. That makes me feel safe. Sense the sarcasm. Rumor has it there's a man with scissors for hands. The inventor up there died before he could finish him. The kids in my senior class shoved me through the big iron gates and I climbed the steps to the front door.

"Have fun Ellen" Christine yelled. I mumbled and waved my hand back. She was one of those girls who thought of themselves as popular. She was pretty, but she had a horrible soul. Cobwebs covered this place but the hedge sculptures were magnificent. They looked like they were trimmed everyday. I wonder who made these? For a split second the thought passed my mind. No impossible. I shivered at my own thought and proceeded to open the big heavy door. The inside was more creepy then the outside. I started to climb the empty stair case.

"Hello" my voiced echoed through the empty rooms. Or at least I thought they were empty. I held the railing tightly as if I thought I was going to fall and made my way to the attic. The roof was torn open and the moon shined on the attic floor. The view up here was beautiful. I walked closer to the opening of the roof letting the moonshine hit my face. My daydream was cut short due to the fact of the others yelling. It was peaceful for the most part up here. I would have to come back up here soon..sometime soon. I turned to the flight of stairs that was going to lead me to the not so happy life.

"Don't go" a male voice yelled from the depths of the darkness. I nearly jumped out of my skin and slowly turned my body around. It was like one of those horror movies. It was him. The man with scissors for hands.

"W-why" that's the only thing that I could force out of my mouth. He stood there awkwardly his hands sniping away. Turing to face him completely I fell back, seeing how close he was to me. His pale face full of scars wore a expression of loneliness. I frowned and stood up.

"I'm sorry you just surprised me a bit and I didn't mean to intrude, I'll just be going now" I turned halfway till his voice was loud again.

"Please don't go don't leave" his voice tinted with sadness. I couldn't believe what I was about to say.

"Tomorrow I'll be back for sure". That move just changed my life from then on.
