The Lion and the Snake (I know dumb name but it had to think of it on the spot)

PROLOGUE

Hermione Granger impatiently waited in her seat for her double Potions class to end. This had been the worst day of her life. First, Ron had spilled pumpkin juice all over her new white shirt her mother had sent her, second, she had tripped down the dormitory steps and fell all the way down landing right on her butt which hurt rather badly, and now she had been paired with the lowest, slimiest, git that had ever lived, Draco Malfoy.
She stared at him in disgust , and then, surprisingly, astonishment. She almost liked the way his pale face almost shimmered when the sunlight from the only window in the dungeon hit it. Or the expression on his face when he was deep in concentration.
"What are you staring at Granger?" He spat noticing she had been looking at him. Hermione snapped out of her trance and, realizing what she had been doing almost slapped herself right then and there. But then she realized that Draco would enjoy that too much and tease her about it later on.
"I said what are you staring at, you Mudblood!" He said so loudly, half the class turned around.
"I don't know, I was still deciding whether you were scum or human," she replied simply.
He glared at her and she glared right back. Even with his ice cold gray eyes, and how cute he looked when a strand of his beautiful blonde hair fell in his face, and- he was still that same old slimy git whom she had despised for years. Only now he was cute and muscular.
*Five years of Quidditch playing were definitely not in vain. Oh my! I like Draco Malfoy!*
