Because this was on the top of the poll this morning. I hope you enjoy this Klaroline one-shot. It was incredibly hard writing these few words, but I hope they're good enough to be considered even 'tolerable'.

End of the Day
Eight year old Caroline Forbes is obsessed with Cinderella. She can't help it; Cinderella is the unloved and abandoned blonde with daddy issues. Caroline feels like she can relate. The only problem is, at the end of the day, Caroline doesn't have a prince to love her.
When Stefan comes to town, Caroline's interest is peaked. He's mysterious but the kindest guy she's ever talked to. But at the end of the day, he's just another guy falling for Elena.
Damon is anything but a prince. He sucks her dry, physically and emotionally .She doesn't mind, though. She thinks he loves her, even though she knows he'd rather be with someone else.
She thinks Matt might be the one. He's sweet and honest, both good and special. He's her Prince Charming, and she's convinced he'll be just that until her dying day.
Her romance with Tyler is a whim. It's desperate and rushed, and it feels oh so right when he holds her and says that he loves her. But it was a whim; nothing more than two lonely, sad people trying to create a write where there have been two wrongs.
Caroline loves all of them, she just can't help it. Just like she can't help her obsession or the fact that she still hasn't found the right one.
By the time she hears about the 'big bad Klaus', Caroline has given up faith. She's accepted her fate to become a spinster, to wish for the perfect ending but get none at all. And no, she doesn't find herself too dramatic.
When Klaus saves her, she is appalled. He wasn't a prince. He wasn't even a duke. He was Klaus, the lonely, sadistic, evil hybrid monster.
As she dances with him, Caroline cannot help but think that he looks handsome in his tuxedo. Maybe, just maybe, two lonely people can make each other whole after all.
Most important of all, at the end of the day, Caroline feels like a princess.

I had a bit of trouble for this ship. It's so weird, because in the episode after Our Town, I almost threw my computer on the ground when there were no Klaroline scenes. Now my mind is filled with images of CarolinexKol…. BUT I TRIED MY BEST!
Notes: I really tried including Caroline's insecurities in this one-shot. One thing I noticed about Caroline (though it might be my imagination) she's just a big sucker for romance, just like us. That's why I also included all of her other boyfriends/crushes in here, because we all know she'll never forget them .
