"'Ey, look o'er 'ere!" Of the three other occupants of the cave, only Touya looked up at Jin's excited remark. Suzuki turned a page of his book, and Shishi Wakamaru paused momentarily in the polishing of his sword, but otherwise they showed no sign of hearing their traveling companion.
His ears waging wildly, Jin floated out of the entranceway, a letter clutched in his hand. Touya took the letter calmly and glanced over it before turning to the others, "It's news from Yusuke, the second tournament starts in three weeks."
Suzuki smirked and closed his book with a snap, "Well, we'll just have to show them what a difference these past four years have made, won't we?" Shishi mirrored his smirk as he sheathed his sword, and Jin let out a loud "whoop" before planting a sloppy kiss on Touya's cheek and flying out the door. Touya grimaced, wiping his cheek with his sleeve as he followed their childish companion out of the cave.
Suzuki and Shishi just exchanged softer smirks as they left together.
