Disclaimer: I do not own House or any of its characters; if I did I wouldn't be writing this :)

Summary: House presents a difficult case to the team, but when Thirteen realizes who the patient is, she freezes. Can the team find out who this mysterious patient is and why he is so important to Thirteen? And most importantly can they help her in ways she didn't think they could?

Thirteen can hear House limping down the hallway before she can even see him. Her morning coffee has not yet kicked in, and she is really not looking forward to spending the morning with House until it has. But before she can get up for a refill House bursts through the doors.

"We got a 31 year old male complaining of leg numbness, abdominal pain, and blurred vision. Ideas?"

"Uhh… It could be some sort of chemical poisoning that is causing his nervous system to shut down." starts Chase, whose morning coffee has obviously already laid its effect on him.

"Okay, go and check his blood for any poisons that could be around his house that he might of 'accidentally' taken." He says as he writes down "poison" on his white board.

"Alright," sighs Chase "Do you want me to ask him if he meant to take anything?"

"Oh yeah." says House in a sarcastic tone "That would be great. Ask the guy who just tried to kill himself if he tried to kill himself. I'm sure he'll talk to you Chase. You do seem to have that effect on people."

Chase rolls his eyes and marches out of the room.

"Well what's with Mr. Grumpygills this morning? What do you think Foreman?"

"Well, if he's on a strict diet, it could just be lack of nutrition. That would explain the leg numbness due to too much exercise and the abdominal pain and blurred vision from pushing himself too hard."

"Foreman, a 4 year old girl with pigtails could of guessed that."

"Does that mean you don't want me to talk to the patient?" asks Foreman.

"Fine. And last but certainly not least. Ding, ding, ding. Thirteen, what do you got?

"It could be brain cancer, it'd explain all of the symptoms."

"Wow, the first semi-smart answer today. That's amazing huh, since you guys are supposed to be doctors. Go and get our patient an MRI."

Thirteen walks down the hall at a slow pace. Her head is pounding, probably due to lack of sleep and too much consumption of alcohol in one night. She reaches the patient's room and casually gazes in. A man with short, messy black hair and bright green eyes is talking with Foreman. He look like the rich business man type, very clean and proper. The man smiles like Foreman has just told him a funny joke. He seems familiar; but gives Thirteen that creeping feeling in the pit of her stomach. As the man turns his head, he gazes right into Thirteen's eyes. Her mind races back in time, her legs turn to jello and she feels herself being blanketed with a cold sweat. She moves out of the view of the man and stands with her back against the wall. Her mind is racing, she can't breathe. Oh how she wishes she could breathe. "This is not real." she tells herself. She repeats those words until she feels herself slide down the wall. Giving up trying to compose herself, she sits with her hands covering her face and her knees tucked in like a small child's. She will not cry. She will never cry.

This man, this seemingly charming man is the man she despises more then anything else in this world. Ever since she was 16 this man has haunted her dreams and thoughts like a deadly disease.

He is here, the man she has been trying to forget is here. Her very worst fear, her rapist.
