Snake kept walking.

"Haven't you ever had anyone you don't just leave?"

Snake stopped with his back to the angry woman. He had plenty of them. His mind turned back to Taylor and that moment when he stood on the platform. Looking back and realizing Taylor hadn't made it to the stairs, wasn't even coming hadn't been much of a dilemma. He had paused, watched the train go by but in the end he would relegate himself to being caught by the cops before he left him behind. That had been exactly what happened. Snake turned on her with nothing but an icy stare.

"Yeah and you're not one of them." He stated with a flat indifference.

"Why?" She started to cry but Snake didn't buy it.

"Why?" Snake stalked up to her and stopped inches away. "Why?"

"Maybe these?" Snake flipped up the tiny skirt and grabbed her inner thigh roughly. A whimper escaped as his hand clamped down on the bruises he had noticed earlier.

"I sure the fuck didn't put them there." He added it for emphasis as he took in her skimpy outfit. Not that he minded how she dressed that was her choice.

"Snake." Her voice was soft and accompanied by an almost child like pout.

"No baby." Snake shook his head. "I ask you one fucking thing, only one and what do you do? Huh?"

The stripper started backing away from the wild fury in Snake's eye.

"I'm on the run and you start opening your fucking legs for every son-of-a-bitch you can. That's bullshit!"

"I didn't have any choice!"

"No choice huh?" Snake glared at her. "Is that why you offered to take him upstairs?"

She started to speak again but Snake was already turning away. He didn't ask much of others; loyalty and honesty was all. Had she said she took the pay or admitted to the bullshit he might have let it slide. Once she started lying he knew she was worthless.

Snake kept walking right back to his humvee but her question still stuck with him despite the fury he felt. Now that he thought about it there was one person he didn't ever leave, abandon or let down, himself. At the moment there was no other person who had proven to deserve that kind of loyalty from him.
