Kurama was taking a walk in the forest. He had just finished training with Hiei. Hiei stayed to train some more, while Kurama decided to go home.
The sky was getting dark already. The sun was starting to set.
Suddenly, Kurama felt great pain in his chest and brought his hand up to it. The pain was too much to bear. He fell to his knees and supported himself up with his other hand.
It only got worse.
He heard a voice... inside of him. I voice he knew. Stop resisting. It's useless. You are only making things worse for you. voice said.

Hiei had was training with his sword. When suddenly he heard someone scream. He immediately recognized who it was. He put his sword away and made his way towards where he heard the scream come from.

Hiei's eyes went wide in shock from what he saw. Kurama was on his knees, and seemed in great pain. He started walking up to him, when he got thrown back by a wave of energy. He looked at Kurama.
The red-headed kitsune was now surround by a bright light. His screams of pain filled the sky.
"Kurama?!" Hiei couldn't get closer to him. The light grew even brighter, making Hiei cover his eyes. He heard Kurama scream louder, but he also noticed something else. His scream seemed to be separating into two.
The light died out and Hiei uncovered his eyes. Once again, they grew wide.
Kurama was laying on the ground, unconscious. But that wasn't really what surprised him. No...
What surprised and shocked Hiei the most was the fact that there was someone else laying near Kurama. It was Youko...

Sorry this chapter was short. But that just seemed like a good place to divide it up. I had originally written this as one long-very long-story. I divided it up into chapters to post.
