Marco's cousins had visited for the week. It was summer and the little kids were always running up and down the stairs, constantly asking Star to show them new magic tricks. Marco was usually keeping the kids from going too crazy…as well as Star, who almost once tried to juggle the kids with her wand.
Marco was sitting down on the couch as Star was preparing some sort of Mewni cake with the children. It wasn't until one kid crawled up his lap that he notice he was staring at the girl.
The boy was one of the youngest yet smartest of the group. He was named Daniel, after one grandparent.
"Is she your girlfriend?" he asked, looking straight at Marco.
"Wait what?"
"You guys are dating, right?" He asked again. Marco blushed and smiled.
"No, we aren't. She is a princess and I'm just me. Plus she is from another dimension, you know what that is, right?" The little kid giggled and smiled at Marco.
"I do. But you love her, right?"
"You are asking a lot of questions, mister!" Marco said, smirking at the kid. He tickled the kid, messing up some of his brown hair.
"Marco! Stop!" Daniel squealed. Marco let go and chuckled.
"Now back to my question, do you love her?" Marco waited and glanced at the princess, who was crawling with kids and who was covered in flour. She would probably set the kitchen in fire…. Star saw him and waved at him, that huge smile of hers shinning like always.
"How can you not?" He responded with a gentle smile.
