A/N: I wrote this for my girlfriend who absolutely loves Pepper Potts more than anything and feels that if Pepper Potts were there, nothing bad would ever happen and Tony wouldn't make messes and so this is how she pictured 'Civil War' ending, so here it is.
The street of New York sit silent. The wind whistling through the rubble the only sound.
Suddenly, loud voices ring through the city, emanating from in front of Avenger's Tower.
"Ow. Ow. Shit. Ow."
"Language, Cap. Ow!"
The scene in front of Avenger's Tower is a disaster. The tower and the surrounding buildings stand in ruins, some of them on fire. Dust coats everything and a small group of people stand covered in dirt and ripped uniforms.
The swears and exclamations come from two of the dirt covered superheroes, both of which are being dragged by the ears by a very cross woman.
Pepper drags the two almost to the base of Avenger's Tower and tosses them to the ground. They both stumble, but manage to keep their footing.
"What the hell have you two done?!" Pepper shouts at them.
"He started it," Tony replies, pointing at Steve.
Pepper turns the full heat of her glare onto Tony. He cowers at the anger flashing in her eyes.
Steve opens his mouth to reply to Pepper's original question. She holds her hand up impatiently, not letting him answer.
"I don't even care," she says wearily. "Just clean all this up, the lot of you. And if one of you so much as thinks about starting this dispute again, I will confiscate every weapon, piece of armor or costume, and everything I can that is directly related to your superpowers or lack thereof. Now get to work and when you're done, we'll talk this out like civilized people as you all should have done in the first place."
Everybody watches as Pepper pushes past Tony and Steve and starts to head up the steps into what remains of Avenger's Tower.
Tony turns and glares at Steve right before Pepper walks through the doors.
"Tony!" she shouts back at him sharply.
He turns and stares at her incredulously as she steps inside.
