The Mosaic

Authors note: Sort of pointless, based on a joke I once heard and took maybe 5 min to write. I don't claim to know anything, I wrote this purely for enjoyment. ^^

One day, during yet another day of peace talks at the United Nations, a bomb blew up during discussions, killing many of the people inside. As they waited at the gates of heaven for their judgement, an argument broke out.

"I think the Lord will be white!" An American cried. "As white as my hand! "

" No, I've been taught he was black," a man from Africa said. " I have no reason to think other wise."

" EspaƱol!" A Mexican shouted and everyone started yelling a claim for their own nationality.

" My children, " A voice said, and all of heaven was driven to its' knees in awe. The voice was as quiet as a gentle breeze or stream babble, and yet as ferocious as thunder. " My children " the voice came again, even more lovingly, and a gargantuan figure of light appeared before them. " Do not bicker this way among yourselves. For behold." The light died away, and standing before them was a man. Yet unlike other men.

It was like someone had colored him to look like a quilt. His face was black, white, red and yellow, as well as many other colors. His hands and feet were the same way, and it seemed like He was created of a piece from a man of every country on earth. " Remember, I created you in my image. How could I have done this, if I was not you?" None in the crowd could answer him. He smiled at them and everyone standing there was suddenly washed with a feeling of great love and peace. " Welcome to Heaven. Come love and be loved." He open wide the gate. Everyone was slightly shocked at first, but began to trickle in.

The American said to the African, " Did you see his face? I think there was more white on it than any other."

"Nonono, he was more black than anything. Did you see his right hand? Almost his entire thumb was black!"

(Note: Do I really think people could be this petty. Yes. Duh. -.-;)
