I sit at a table in a restaurant with my two siblings. We're mainly here because nobody ever cooks, but that's okay. We normally have enough money to get by eating at restaurants. But none of us are exactly cooking geniuses and sometimes it can get tiring having to walk to a restaurant at the very end of the day, but with time I've grown used to it. The restaurant is fairly nice, and we visit it more often than others, and the service is nice, too. The waitress comes to the table, and politely asks if we're ready to order. Temari nods and she takes our orders and walks away. We make minimal small talk, but nothing too interesting. There's never really anything to say. Most conversations tend to annoy me anyways. About ten to twenty minutes later, the food arrives. About halfway through our meal, a slightly familiar guy walks through the door. I soon remember him to be Shikamaru Nara. He looks our way and then begins to walk towards our table. When he gets to our table, he stands there for a few awkward seconds. I don't say anything, I don't even know why he's here. I try to ignore his presence, but he doesn't go away. Temari and Kankuro look up at Shikamaru as he approaches our table, they're just as confused as I am. I also notice that Temari is looking at Shikamaru with a rather pleasant smile on her face.
"Hey, uh. This is a drag. But, uh, Gaara I need you to follow me." He says.
"…What for?" I ask, irritated.
"It's a stupid mission Kakashi has. He wouldn't tell me what it was." He replies, seeming just as bored with the situation as I am. I sigh heavily and then stand. All I wanted to do was go out and eat, and now I get dragged out on some stupid mission? Fantastic. This isn't exactly how I would like to spend my night, but I suppose I should obey Kakashi's orders, just to see what all of this is about.
"Well, I suppose I should go with you then. You two can handle the bill, right?" I ask, looking towards Kankuro and Temari.
"I guess so." Kankuro says. I nod, and then follow Shikamaru out the door. We walk there pretty much is silence the whole way there. But when we get there, there are two other people there. I easily recognize the first one as Sasuke Uchiha, I always thought that he would be someone interesting to fight against, but what is he doing here? The other I don't recognize at first. It's a girl, but that fact is more than a little obvious. But after a few seconds of trying to figure out who she is, I then recognize her as Hinata Hyuuga. But her older cousin Neji is actually the one who everyone knows. And not to anyone's surprise, Kakashi is absent from this little gathering. He's never on time. He never really gives a valid excuse for why he's late, and I'm sure there won't be one this time. We walk over and sit on the ground. I guess we just have to wait for that old man to show up.
