Sentimental Saturday

Disclaimer: I do not own Final Fantasy Seven. Though I wish I owned Vincent and Reno…..

A/N: This story is told from Aerith's point of view.

Sad lookin' faces on these money making races

Yeah

A tired child with a soul that's running wild

Yeah

I sighed, sitting on a stone bench in my garden, surrounded by flowers. It was a cool, crisp Saturday morning. Shinra became more powerful every moment…..

Oh Zack…. Where are you? Why haven't you come back to me? It had now been over a year since I last saw him. This nagging little thought in the back of my head refused to go away. Did he really leave me for another woman? Over time, I believed it blindly. I was confused……

On a Saturday subway ride to a long distant place

I'm trying to find just a little inch of pride to laugh and forget your face

I don't understand you walking away

You got intimidated, yeah

Do you glorify that I complete disarray?

On this sentimental Saturday

I took the bus up to the actual city of Midgar, followed by a brief subway ride to my usual spot. With my wicker basket filled with assorted flowers, I stood on the city sidewalk. I peered across the street through a large, glass window into a small restaurant. I saw many couples eating and chatting together. I felt so alone. Why would he leave me?

The strange perfume of the lovers in the room

Yeah

The bloody axes of the men who take your taxes

Yeah

On a Saturday taxi ride to a faraway place

I'm trying to find just a little inch of pride to laugh and forget your face.

I called out to passerby sweetly, offering them my flowers and cute smile. I had already made twenty-seven gil. My mind wouldn't shift from its place on Zack.

I don't understand you walking away

You got intimidated, yeah

Do you glorify that I complete disarray?

On this sentimental Saturday

I don't understand you walking away

Was I intimidating, yeah?

Do you glorify that I complete disarray

On this sentimental Saturday?

I've been lost in this huge city and it ain't so pretty

I've been running around the world

Without the lover in me

Night fell and I looked up into the sky, straining to see the stars. I smiled at my own naïve silliness. 'You can't see stars in Midgar.' I started to walk back towards the subway station. 'But……they also say you can't grow flowers in Midgar.' I returned my gaze to the sky. There were still no stars.

'Wherever you are Zack…… I hope you're happier with her, whoever she is.'

There was absolutely no way he was dead. I would NOT even consider that.

I don't understand you walking away……

You got intimidated, yeah

Do you glorify that I complete disarray?

On this sentimental Saturday

I don't understand you walking away

Was I intimidating yeah?

Do you glorify that I complete disarray

On the sentimental Saturday?

Yeah……

This story is dreadful but I posted it anyway. Don't hurt me. :cowers: I can beleive I actually wrote a story in Aerith's point of view. I mean she's my least favorite character. When I was playing the game, I cheered when Sephiroth killed her (I mean... she is a crappy fighter anyway.) Um.. yeah so just review. Please?
