I own nothing! This is Inuyasha's thoughts on the beads. Don't read if you get squeamish easily!
Inuyasha huffed for what seemed like the millionth time since Kagome left to study for a 'test' in her own time period.
He turned over on a tree before fingering the beads.
They were the beads that Kagome used to keep him in check, kind of like a dog.
Maybe that was the point. He thought gingerly.
Miroku, Sango, and Shippo had gone to visit Kaede, while Inuyasha stayed by the well. Kagome was due to appear from it at any moment now.
The hanyou couldn't say he hated the beads either. They were part of what connected him to the miko, in a way Koga could never be. Not that Inuyasha's never mentioned it to him before. If he had, the wolf demon might start telling Kagome that she was wise to keep such a destructive half demon in check.
That brought him to the next topic. The beads were used to punish him whenever he did something wrong, or they were used in battle to get him to duck.
All in all, they made him feel quite submissive, even more like a dog.
In a way, the beads were also like his collar.
They slammed him to the ground with so much force that it leaves an indent in the ground.
And Inuyasha has no choice but to go with it, because last time he resisted it, he felt it digging into his neck.
So he went with it, because of what would happen if he didn't.
Once, the beads drew blood when he resisted before he finally went with it. He hadn't told Kagome about that, nor will he ever.
Because if he resisted long enough, or if Kagome slammed him into the ground enough, he knew what might happen.
The beads would go down to the ground without Inuyasha, cutting completely through his neck.
The beads, if that ever were to happen, would behead him.
And he didn't want to think what Kagome would do to herself if that ever happened.
This is just one one-shot that came into my head.
Review!
