"Compared to a bitch like you who's like a lump of self-centeredness," he said, "I get along with her much better."

Erika could feel her heart crack, she knew she started this, but she never knew he could reciprocate with such foul words. She looked at her feet. "So you do like her more than me,"

Kyouya looked at her. He didn't mean for his words to come out like that. But his stubbornness kept him from saying anything to her, let alone apologize. He just stood there, unfazed. Erika looked up at him, tears threatening to spill out, but she refused to let them budge. She crossed her arms across her chest and gave him the most soul crushing look she could muster.

"Fine, I see how it is," she said, taking off the necklace Kyouya gave her that one Christmas.

She threw the necklace by his feet and started running off to the direction of her house. Kyouya picked up the necklace, infuriated and hurt. He stuffed the necklace into his pocket and walked back to his apartment.

Kyouya sat on his bed, looking at Erika's necklace. He groaned. Why couldn't he just apologize to right then and there? Why did he have to be so stubborn? Would she even forgive him if he did apologize? He laid down and covered his eyes. He was so agitated at himself for being so dumb, he would never admit it though. One thing was true in his heart, he felt terrible for the things he said to her. Hopefully she would apologize first, to save him from embarrassment. But as the days past, Erika continued to ignore him and he continued to do the same. Neither of them wanted to apologize first, and their pride continued them to ignore each other. The guilt of what Kyouya had said was settling in, he couldn't bear it. He had to say something. He had to.

The next day Kyouya immediately walked over to Erika and blocked her way of entrance. She glared.

"What do you want?" she asked.

Kyouya turned his head towards the courtyard. "Come with me, we need to talk about something,"

Erika could feel her heart beating faster, was he going to break up with her? Why did he want to talk?

"Fine,"

Erika followed him to the courtyard and sat down on the bench. She crossed her arms.

"Is there anything you want to say?" she asked.

Kyouya looked at his feet. "I wanted to apologize,"

Erika could barely hear him, but she knew what he said. "Huh?"

"I said I'm sorry!" he yelled.

Erika laughed. "I heard you the first time, I'm just confused. I thought you would make me apologize first,"

Erika's eyes opened a little more. "Kyouya, you shouldn't have to apologize, I'm the one who compared you first, I'm s—"

Before she could get her words out Kyouya pulled her close for an embrace. "Don't say it,"

"Kyouya, I should apologize—"

"Erika, I told you, don't say it,"

"But Kyouya—"

"Erika!"

She looked up at him. He looked agitated. "Did you call me a fowl name? No, so why should you apologize? No,"

"Kyouya, I compared you to another guy,"

"And I compared you to another girl,"

Erika opened her mouth to say something, but closed it. She knew she wouldn't win this fight.

"Fine,"

Kyouya smiled and pushed her closer to his chest. She gave him a hug.

"Thanks, Kyouya,"

"Whatever,"

But of course, Kyouya smiled at the sound of Erika's joyful voice, and everything seemed alright.

Man, I haven't been here for a long time, so sorry about that. I've been having really bad writers block, but here's a story for your entertainment. I've loved this manga/anime since it came out, so I wanted to write a story about it. So the beginning line comes from chapter 42, I think. So I hope you like it!
