Hello! Just to remind you again, this story is not written by me, but by RevengeOFCL. I do not take any credit for this story. This is simply just a repost.
So, were you wondering how I was able to retrieve this story? You see, I have an app in my phone that allows you to download stories from FanFiction for offline reading. Since I really liked this story, I downloaded it. Sadly, the author, RevengeOFCL, his/her account was removed from the site, putting the story in a never-ending hiatus. I only noticed this when I didn't see the story in my favorites anymore.
This story of his/hers was really good, and it would be sad if people who didn't get a chance to read it never will. The last update to the story was last June 1, 2014. If I recall correctly, the author's account disappeared last July 2014 for unknown reasons. RevengeOFCL wrote a lot of other great stories too.
I know it's kind of useless to say this, but if you're curious, the ID of this story was 9507872. Now you'll know if I'm lying if you are able to favorite a story with that ID.
With all things said, now you know why it's called "The Forgotten Story".

Hey everyone! Sorry about the lack of content, yet there of... But lately I've been getting a lot of requests for me to write a Prologue of the events before the story even begins. So that's the reason why I haven't been updating this story lately, because I've been coming up with the ideas and content about how I should format this, and write it all out! Also, lots of narration occurs within the Prologue, so again, sorry about that, I'm just trying to explain some of the scenes... Revenge: Prologue
'(Sigh), That fox he just does so much, yet he doesn't ever take a break. I mean, I'd think he would wanna take a break sometime...'
(Amy walks in the room, with a bunch of papers)
"Hey Sonic, there was a lot of mail today, I think you should go through it before I just throw it all away..."
(Amy hands Sonic the mail)
"Amy, I don't have time for this right now, I was just gonna go get some chili dogs for us."
"Sonic you know you have those all the time... and plus you know that you're gonna have to loose that bad habit sometime soon. Eating too much of them will-"
(Sonic interrupts)
"Yeah, well... (Sigh) I guess you're right Amy..."
"Ever since Robotnik's death, your diet has been absolutely terrible..."
"And yet you don't think I realize that", Sonic says as he starts to look through the mail.
"(Sarcastic Sigh) Well I just want the best for you that's all..."
"Well thanks for trying, Amy..."
"You seem so down Sonic..."
"Yeah, I'm just worried about Tails... Ever since we defeated Robotnik, he's been on edge."
"I think we all are, Sonic", Amy replies back to Sonic.
(Amy then walks away)
"Well, I mean it just seems like he's stressed out, so I wanna do something for him."
(Sonic continues to look through the mail)
(He then sees a flyer to a place called 'Paradise Falls')
"Hmm... I've never heard of this place..."
(Long pause)
(Sonic then stumbles upon an idea, as he continues to glance at the flyer in curiosity)
"That's it, this is what I can do for Tails... He definitely needs this... A vacation!"
"Ugh... even after Robotnik's death, I'm still at work... But I enjoy this type of work!"
(Long pause, then Tails walks over towards something rather large)
"I just need to finish this, which should take me little to no time at all..."
(Long pause)
"Hmm, so if I put this calibrator within this mechanism, it should power the Solar Panels at the top of it, making the Solar Panels super charged. But yet it seems like it needs something more... Sunlight alone won't make it travel at light speed. I need something a little more... I have a super charged battery, and now I have super charged solar panels covering the whole jet plane..."
(Long pause, then Tails looks over towards a pile of 'junk' and sees a two metal rod like antennas)
"Hmm..."
(Tails then goes through the junk)
"That's it!"
(Tails attaches the antennas, which takes no time at all for a smart fox like Tails)
"I'll use this to get energy from the sky; from the lightning", Tails says in astonishment.
"Now time to test this out! The new and improved 'Tornado'...", Tails exclaims.
(Just then the door opens, and Tails hears a coughing sound)
*Cough Cough*
(Then Tails hears another voice)
"Tails, what are you doing? You're stirring up all of this dust! You're gonna get sick sometime soon..."
"Nah, and plus studies show that being surrounded by germs can actually be good for you", Tails says with enthusiasm.
"Thanks for being concerned though Sonic!", Tails says as he winks directly towards Sonic.
"Whoa there Tails! What're you so excited about?"
"Sonic, I've finally figured it out!"
"Figured out what?"
"Well Sonic, just let me tell you all about it!"
"I've finally figured out how to speed this baby up to par!", Tails says with enthusiasm.
"Finally, I'm sure that this baby can travel at the speed of light now!"
"Wow, nice job Tails! Congrats!"
"Thanks, it took me quite some time to figure it all out, but when I did, it took me no time at all to make it happen."
"Um... explain please?", Sonic says in a little confusion.
"Well, at first, the ship was only going at about six hundred knots per hour, but with all of this new energy added to it-"
"Wait a minute Tails, why does it need to be faster? I mean, six hundred knots seems pretty fast already, I mean, doesn't it."
"Sonic, I named it the Tornado for a reason, this isn't a mediocre jet plane Sonic! I want it to be the fastest in Mobius!"
(Long pause)
"Anyway, Now that I've added sunlight energy, gas, electricity, and lightning energy, this is, for sure the fastest plane in Mobius!"
"Wow!", was Sonic's only words of explanation.
"That seems like a lot of energy."
"Oh it is...", Tails replies as he walks towards the door to the pilots seat."
"Oh, um... are you gonna test it right now?"
"Well... nah I probably shouldn't", Tails says as he turns back around.
"I wouldn't want to put anyone in danger. In fact, I'm not sure if I'll have time to test it out..."
"Well, sorry to hear that..."
"Oh don't be sorry, Sonic. I'll probably test it out sometime, but probably not in the near future. I just have so much work to do, that... I just don't know yet."
"Alright Tails, I'll be inside if you need me."
"Thanks Sonic", Tails says as he gives Sonic a half smile, then he looks away.
(Forgetting about the flyer, Sonic sets it on a desk in Tails' laboratory and walks back into the house)
"(Sigh) I don't wanna do anything illegal, flying something that fast will probably get me in to trouble."
(Long pause, then Tails sees the flyer that Sonic set on the desk)
"What's this?", Tails asks himself
"Hmm..."
(Tails reads the flyer)
"(Sigh) I do need a vacation... but without me, nothing will get done, and we'll be back to square one. Eventually Sonic will make another enemy and I'll have to make some sort of weapon for him to help fight it off..."
(Long pause)
"As much as I want this, and as much as I need this, I just can't do it... Well..."
(Then Cosmo walks in Tails' laboratory)
"Hi Tails!"
"Oh, hey", Tails replies back to Cosmo.
"What're you working on?", Cosmo says curiously.
"The same thing, just enhancing the Tornado."
"Ah I see..."
"I have made some improvements with it, but I don't think I should test it out right now. After all, doing illegal actions won't really get me anywhere useful right now."
"(Cosmo starts to laugh) Illegal actions, hold on there Tails... what have you done with it?"
"Well I'm not exactly sure how fast it is right now, and I don't want to risk doing something illegal and all..."
"Yeah, I guess that's true... Hey, what's that you're holding?"
"Oh this, (Sigh) Cosmo..."
"What is it Tails?", Cosmo says suspiciously.
"It's nothing suspicious, jeez... It's just a flyer that I found."
(Tails hands it to Cosmo, Cosmo then responds)
"T... Tails you really need this."
"(Sigh) I know Cosmo, it's just that so much work has piled up, and I can't trust anyone to finish it while I would be so called, 'gone'..."
"Oh come on Tails, don't be such a downer, you really need this, I mean, you really, really need it terribly..."
"Thanks Cosmo, but I don't think that-"
"Just let the work hold off for a couple of days Tails, it'll all be just fine", Cosmo says reassuringly.
"Well, now that I hear it coming from you words, I guess you're right!"
(Long pause)
"But when do I go? I mean... I don't wanna disrupt anyone else's work-"
"Any time you want to Tails, this is your vacation. And I also don't see why you can't go now, I mean, Robotnik is out of our way..."
"Yeah! Thanks Cosmo!"
"(Smiles and winks back at Tails) Anytime Tails."
(Tails then blushes)
THE FOLLOWING DAY
"Wow Tails", Sonic exclaims
"I've never been to Paradise Falls, you're gonna have to tell us all about it."
"(Tails smiles back at them) Oh I will don't worry about that!"
"Yeah Tails, have a good time", Amy says at the same time she is talking on the phone with someone else.
"Take lots of pictures", Cosmo says!
"Guys, I'm only gonna be gone for three days..."
"We'll still miss you even if your gone for three days, or a whole month", Cosmo says
"Thanks Cosmo! Bye everyone!"
"See you later Tails!"
(Tails then drives away in a 'fancy like' automobile)
(NOTICE THAT COSMO WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO SAYS GOODBYE TO TAILS)
THREE DAYS LATER
(Cosmo enters Tails' laboratory, but leaves the door open behind her)
"Wow... Tails has a lot of stuff in here, I wonder what else he's making."
(Cosmo continues to saunter through Tails laboratory, finding all sorts of weird and cool things)
"Oh, what's this? It looks like some sort of sequence for a formula... and then what?"
(Long pause)
"Oh, draining energy from the Chaos Emeralds... That would make sense..."
(Cosmo then starts to hear footsteps)
"What? Who's in here now?"
"It's just me, Sonic..."
"Oh, for a second I thought that... Oh nevermind..."
"Well alright then. What're you doing in here Cosmo?"
"Oh, just looking around. I'm just wondering what all Tails does in here. He's kept it locked up from us, and I wanna know why."
"Yeah, I guess that would seem suspicious..."
(Sonic then walks in another direction and sees a red glowing light)
"Cosmo, come over here..."
"What is it?"
(Cosmo looks over towards the red glowing light)
"Oh, that looks pretty."
"Yeah..."
(They both walk over towards the red glowing light in curiosity)
"It's a glowing red gem. But it can't be a Chaos Emerald, it's too small, plus I think the Chaos Emeralds are supposed to be locked up..."
"Yeah, it looks like it's in a little socket."
"Should we take out?", Cosmo asks.
"Oh why the hell not?!", Sonic exclaims.
(Cosmo laughs)
"Wow, it's so pretty looking! Why would Tails want to hide this from us?"
"Yeah, I'm not totally sure about that one... I guess..."
(Just then, they hear a voice coming from a speaker off in the distance)
"Self distruct in T-60 seconds..."
"59... 58..."
"What the hell! Sonic put it back in the socket!"
"I did! But it didn't stop it!"
"Then we need to get out of here!"
(They both run towards the door, but Cosmo falls and get stuck underneath a pile of very heavy metal scraps)
"Sonic, help!"
(No response)
"Sonic, help! I'm stuck!"
"HELP!"
(Again, No response)
(Sonic then speeds outside the house and looks back only to see the laboratory and the whole house exploded, and on fire)
"What the hell was that?"
LATER THAT DAY
(Soon fire and medical assistance come out to help. Sonic then speeds away, making sure no one sees him, because he does not want to get accused of burning the place down. Later, presuming that Tails heard about this somehow, rushes home)
"What the hell happened?! Sonic?! Cosmo?! Anyone?!"
(Tails then rushes inside the torn down building [his laboratory specifically] only to find Cosmo's burnt body under a pile of very heavy metal scraps. The police then notice him [presumably to be the culprit] and apprehend him immediately)
(Tails then whispers to himself)
"Sonic, you did this. You did this to me. You made me leave, just so you could murder Cosmo."
