This is bad… Kurumi-chan's getting worse than earlier… Miki-chan's not yet here either…
Yuki-chan's probably crying by herself right now… I'd want to keep her company here with me…but there's no way she'll handle this now…
What should I do…!? Do I wait some more…or help Kurumi-chan out of her misery…?
Yuuri sits still while painfully looking at the agonizing Kurumi, who was handcuffed to the sofa. Kurumi is currently undergoing a change in her body that came from when she was attacked by Megu-nee.
"Miki-chan…please come back quick…" said Yuuri. Her fists are clasped together as she was praying.
She can't bear doing nothing as her friend could turn into a zombie. Kurumi's still sane as she's probably using her willpower to fight the infection.
"Kurumi-chan, if you can hear me, don't worry, you'll be fine soon…!"
A few more minutes had passed… Miki's still not back and Kurumi's almost to breaking free from the handcuffs. Yuuri stood up from surprise and she fell on her bottom.
"K-Kurumi…chan…?"
Kurumi screamed as she was breaking free. The infection is probably almost covering her entire system.
"KYAAAAAA!" Yuuri screamed as well but out of fear, she doesn't know what can happen if she also gets infected now.
Before Kurumi could finally break free, somehow her sanity made her talk, "R-Rii-san… Please…"
"H-Huh…?"
"Please…don't…h-hesitate to…kill me…"
"Kurumi-chan!?"
A strong kick from Kurumi on the sofa hits the nearby small shelf, dropping the wrapped knife from inside a bag.
Yuuri shakenly went to it and held it in her hands. She looks at her with despair as Kurumi was reaching out to her; Yuuri lost hope that the medicine Miki would bring can cure Kurumi or that she'd been able to return soon. She carefully unwraps the cloth from the knife.
"Kurumi-chan… Miki-chan…" Yuuri's already crying, "Y-Yuki-chan… I'm… I'M SORRY!"
*stab*
Miki returns finally with medicine in her hands, she's panting a lot since she ran from the unexplored room.
"Yuuri-senpai… I'm sorry it took a while, but some of them who were in the area almost got me and…" Miki gasped before she could explain further. She stood still in place as she was shocked to see Yuuri bloodied…and Kurumi's corpse on the sofa.
"Yuuri…senpai…?"
Yuki just got back and then fell on her knees when she saw the scene. Her expression is lifeless as she slowly walks towards the two.
"Rii-san… Kurumi-chan's…"
"Yuki-chan…"
"I-I…didn't make it…" Miki cried, "If only I got back sooner…!"
"Kurumi-chan…said that it's too late for her…so she…" Yuuri dropped on her knees and covered her crying face, "She asked me to…t-to…"
Yuki stopped Yuuri from talking with a tight hug, but she wasn't saying anything. She probably understood that if they waited a little longer, Kurumi would've gone berserk and attack them, so Yuuri had no choice but to end it.
The next day, Yuuri and Miki are at the rooftop with Yuki, but by herself though. Yuki's near the railings and seems to be talking by herself while holding Kurumi's shovel.
"Kurumi-chan, don't worry I won't break Shovel-kun! I'll borrow it so that I can protect Rii-san, Mii-kun, Megu-nee, and you, just like you did! Right, Megu-nee~?"
"Yuki-chan…"
"Yuki-senpai… I don't know if she'll handle it more… She's gone crazy now, hasn't she!?"
"Let's just believe, Miki-chan, believing she'll be fine soon, and like how we've been always finding a way to get out of this whole mess."
