My Life in Middle School
Chapter 1
The first thing you should know about me is that I have nothing special. I am a girl who lives in a city and goes to Jeanne Middle School of Arts. Actually, it is my first day at Ohio, and we just came here from the airport, so I had no idea what it was like in this new town (Petite Ville), and what I was going to do here. My snooty sis was still sniffing about leaving her best friend. She was all crying and blubbering about how she "didn't spend enough time with her friend". But I personally think that having sleepovers and throwing parties every single day was a lot of time to spend together.
I didn't really care if I moved out of my old town, 'cause I didn't really have any friends there. The only thing that I was really nervous about was that I was going to my new school.
Mom and Dad seemed exceedingly enthusiastic about our new town. "Can you believe it, Alison?" she said as we walked, carrying our bags and suitcases. "We can start our new life here, in Petite Ville! Aren't you all so excited? I think I'm going hyper!" Mom's brown, shoulder-length hair brushed across her shoulder as we strolled across the airport to check our passports.
Dad nudged Mom, glancing indecisively at my sis Jacky who was sulking behind our backs. She glared Mom and muffled "Well, I guess you had no friends to miss."
It was rather infrequent for Jacky to speak like that to Mom. Everyone in our old town said that they were exactly alike. They both had hazel-brown, shoulder-length hair. They had lighting-blue eyes. Not only their appearances were analogous, their personality were also like each other. Bright, outgoing, characters match their pleasant smiles that always hung on their faces, like sunshine.
Dad and me however, were totally different. We both had hair so black it looked purple. We both had eyes that were chocolate brown, and we were somewhat very quite, cautious, and proud. We watched our tongues, and never made anyone mad at us. However, we hardly had any friends.
I handed the woman my passport and quickly got in the cab. Perfect, we would get home before dinner, and I was starving.
