Chapter 1: Birth of the winter fairy
"Come on Tink!" Periwinkle laughed as she waited for her sister. "A new winter fairy is going to be born! I can feel it!"
Tinkerbell laughed as she finished tying up her boots. It was one thing to go over to the winter side of Pixie Hollow without freezing your toes off, it was another to go there for a long time without something warm to wear. Over the last four years, Tinkerbell and her friends had attended the births of three seasonal fairys. The first was Hicca, an autumn fairy who befriended a fruit bat she named Toothless and was as much of a tinker as Tinkerbell. The next year Merida was born. She was a summer fairy with wild, curly, red hair and eyes the color of a clear summer sky. And last year brought Rapunzel, a spring fairy who was not only good at painting plants and talking to animals, she had a strong connection towards sunlight. This year should be the birth of the winter fairy.
"TOOTHLESS!" Hicca yelled as the bat she had been riding landed and sent her flying. Before she could fly herself, she crashed into Tinkerbell, "sorry Tink!" She shot an annoyed look at Toothless, brushing a few auburn/brown strands of hair out of her eyes. Toothless was rolling in the snow.
"Well, what are ye waitin' for?!" Merida called. Rapunzel stood next to her, her long golden hair was braided. The trio joined them and together, they walked towards a frozen pond. Other fairies were there. And soon, it was crowded. Everyone waited and waited. Until finally...
Laughter echoed throughout the area and some dandelion fluff came near the pond. One fell onto the pond, directly on the moon's reflection. Everyone leaned in as a light surrounded it. When it disappeared, a young fairy with shoulder lenght white hair, pale skins and ice blue eyes appeared.
"Hello..." She said, her voice as soft as snow.
"Welcome, Jacklyn Frost."
