Have you ever wondered what went through Jemima's mind as she saw the other cats treat Grizabella so horribly? By the way, don't kill me for the relations I write about. It's just what I think it is.

Why?

Why?

Why do they treat so badly?

Just because she's old…

And not as pretty as the others?

That doesn't seem fair

She is the oldest next to Gus

And can give us insights

She must have a lot of knowledge

How else could she have lived this long?

Her looks shouldn't matter

Yet they do…to the other queens and toms

In fact…

The only full grown cat who accepts her

Is out leader, Old Deuteronomy

Everyone else seems to…hates her

Even some of my friends shun her

Only because they're copying the elders

They shouldn't

It isn't right

Besides me, Victoria accepts her

She and I want to touch her

But everyone forbids it

My Mother, Demeter, is starting to change

Trying to convince herself

To let the glamour cat back in the group

But still…

Her sister, Bombalurina, keeps stopping her

If Mother doesn't stop herself first

At least she's not as mean as the others

They are downright cruel to her

When I see that, I wonder…

Would I do the same if I were grown up?

I don't believe it

But it passes my minds sometimes

Yet, through everything,

I still wonder why

Why are they cruel to Grizabella?

Can I help her?

Can Victoria?

Can even Old Deuteronomy?

Or will she be shunned…

The rest of her life?
