A pang of horror struck the heart of Morton Koopa Jr. Though a usually laid-back and patient soul, the koopaling's typical demeanor was no match for the overwhelming circumstances. He felt a bead of sweat stream down his forehead, as he struggled to fully process what he had just heard. Unsure how to continue with any form of tranquility, he blubbered out a response.

"Junior… W-what did you just say?" he trembled.

"FUCK!" the younger koopa blurted again, arms akimbo, face beaming with pride.

No, he definitely didn't hear him wrong. Bowser Junior, Morton's younger "brother", just said the fuck word. This was a debacle and a half. Morton remained silent as his mind raced. All things considered, he knew this day would come. He may be the third youngest sibling, but he knew that at some point, teaching one of his little bros what should and should not be said would be an inevitable duty of big brotherhood. Still… how could he possibly approach this? The confidence with which Bowser Junior had said this word was an unmatchable result of his childlike innocence and seemingly infinite supply of gumption. Morton was almost impressed. Almost.

"Where did you hear that one?" Morton asked slowly, in an attempt to get answers out of Junior before he could be too ashamed and/or scared to answer.

Junior, however, had caught on to the fact that he may have made a mistake coming to Morton with his new discovery. Probably because the older koopaling had slipped into a pretty noticeable introspective silence for the past minute, though Junior doubted Morton had noticed how long it had been.

"N-Nowhere!" Junior lamely replied, not intent on getting the culprit in trouble.

Morton sighed in frustration. Clearly, he wasn't going to get any straight answers out of this kid. He would have to find out the source himself, but not before some good big brothering. Morton put down the book he had been reading and looked at Junior with the calmest expression he could muster at the moment.

"Junior, I hate to break it to you, but that word you just said, is a BAD word" Morton said with emphasis on the "bad" to get it through to the younger koopa that he was serious. They may be part of an elite army of evil, but he couldn't have his precious baby bro going around spurting profanities. That would be unacceptable.

Junior looked in horror. "A BAD word?" he squeaked, obviously feeling ashamed.

"Yeah, language like that could get you in serious trouble" the older explained sternly.

Junior nodded and looked away, embarrassed. Well this sucked. The kid probably felt horrible and Morton just felt plain awkward. He had been in Junior's position once or twice, and he hated to scold anyone younger than him. But hey, someone had to uphold some sort of moral code around here. Morton put a hand on the younger's shoulder, causing Bowser Junior to look up at him.

"Don't worry too much about it, there's no way you could have known. You just have to promise me you won't use that word again, okay?"

"Okay!" Junior piped up, mood improving slightly upon the reassurance that he was not to blame.

Morton watched as his little brother skipped off, likely already forgetting about the incident. He mused for a second about how impressionable children could be. Blank slates for the world to write all over. How quaint, he thought. He chuckled like a man far beyond his years and picked up his book again…

Oh wait, Morton thought. I still have to drag the motherfucker who tried to taint my pure precious brother with sailor speak. Silly me.
