Is there something more to the way that she walks towards nowhere and talking of nothing? Something must be hidden in the depths of the fantasies, some joke must be told in the lies, a pun intended to ward off the sadness that consumes every step.

Perhaps it's the way that she talks of the future in the past tense, as if she once had a heart to love with instead of memories to chase.

She washed the blood away, just another stain, another reason to find new heroes and cry for new reasons, but she knows that it'll be his footsteps that keep her up.

Even as she confronts to inhumanity, she'll stay awake to listen to the life above her, the death of her, the entity that drained the blood from her face and refuses to replace it with the past.

It's the lack of sparks that comes with contact, the one sided breathlessness that comes with his presence.

It's the feeling that, above all else, death will relieve the impossibility of love, for then they will have at least one common reach for fatality.

Did I mention that I'm sick and I have nothing to do? More writing, of course, is the solution.

Title/summary/concept from My Chemical Romance's Disenchanted, because in case you didn't know it already, they're basically the five most incredible human beings to grace the earth.

By the way, while I'm on the subject, does anyone else find it amusing that there's a character choice for Ben and Sweeney? I could definitely do a romance between Sweeney . . . and himself XD

Razors and blood and other happy things,
