A/N: Hey! So, like, I was suffering writer's block with my novel (shhh...) so I figured I'd write an EdWin one-shot! :D So, yeah. The song in italics DOESN'T belong to me! All About Us by He is We is amazing 3 Check them out!
-Sarah
Edward hated admitting that he was wrong. It was completely normal for him to be rambling about something, and if Winry said he was wrong, he'd fight her on it until one of them gave in. It was usually him though. Al had always told him, "The woman is always right, Brother. No matter what. You may be correct, but she's right."
Ed now understood. The whole idea of proposal, as Ed saw it, seemed unnecessary. But looking at the smile on his bride's face, he couldn't help but grin as well. He remembered her teaching him slow dance steps one day a few weeks ago as a slower song began to play. It was his turn to dance with the girl he loved.
"May I have this dance?" He asked slowly, enunciating each word to the point of where they sounded foreign in his own tongue. She nodded and took his outstretched hand, a grin plastered on her flawless face.
Can we dance, real slow? Can I hold you, can I hold you close?
He held her closely to his body, almost possessively. She'd danced with many men so far, and they had all enjoyed it, but he wanted to remind them that she was his and his alone.
The room's hush-hush and now's our moment. Take it in, feel it all and hold it. Eyes on you, eyes on me, we're doing this right.
Ed knew everyone was watching them as the bride and groom swirled around on the dance floor. It was magical to Ed, even if he didn't believe in magic.
Because lovers dance when they're feeling in love, spotlight's shining, it's all about us. It's all about us, and every heart in the room will melt, this is a feeling I've never felt but, it's all about us.
He truly loved the smiling blonde in front of him, and she loved him back, something he never would've thought possible after everything he'd out her through during their teenage years. Between broken automail limbs and arrogant arguments, he figured that she'd never care about him they way she did. But she did, and they were willing to spend the rest of their lives together.
Do you hear that, love? They're playing our song. Do you think we're ready at all? I'm really feeling it. Do you hear that love? Do you hear that love?
"Ed, this is the song I taught you to dance to. You remember that, right?" Winry asked as they twirled around.
"How could I forget?" He responded right as the song ended. "It was all about us."
It's all about us.
