A spritz of perfume. A flick of the wrist.
Because I'm pretty. It's what I am.
It's all that is required of me.
The army members see me as a simple person, uninspired and materialistic.
That's how it has to be.
Because if my eyelashes don't curl, I'm useless.
Sitting at a campfire, I chat relentlessly and tell tales of my own heroics and bravado.
Even I tire of Serra as I continue this charade.
The tea is lukewarm, my hair is greasy.
But Serra's tea is divine, her hair is angelic.
It's exhausting always having to be so much more than I am.
For if I were to cry, they would look at me in disdain.
I know I'm keeping them at arm's length. It's intentional.
But I can't be myself. She's much too drab. Wounded, unhappy.
She's no fun to be around.
My comrades roll their eyes and giggle as they listen to my babbling.
I'll keep up this act for as long as it takes.
Until the other Serra stops hurting, I'll keep being glamorous.
Because if the starlight ever fell from my eyes, they would walk away.
So put your mask back on Serra, they're looking.
At least that's how I look at Serra? This is becoming kind of a series, depressing looks into the lives of characters. Anyone want me to write about a specific character?
I took a quiz today! It's called Myers-Briggs typology. You guys should all do this. It's really insightful. I'm an ENFP (Extraversion, iNtuition, Feeling, Perceiving), A.K.A. the "Champion". They're fiercely individualistic, and attract others because of their authentic sense of self and intention to stay true to their values. They have good people skills, and can make a stranger feel like an old friend. They're likable, with a surprising range of talents. They are able to constantly scan social environments, and reveal the special significance to words and actions. Their strong drive to speak out on issues and events, along with their boundless enthusiasm and natural talent with language, makes them the most vivacious and inspiring of all the types. Their attention is rarely casual or passive. On the downside, they tend to procrastinate, not follow through with projects, and talk endlessly. (That was taken from keirsey . com's description mostly)
Anyway, it's totally cool.
