"Why didn't you sleep with me?" she asks.
She rolls over to look at you. "I worked for you three years. You could have had me a hundred times. More. Why didn't you?"
She makes it sound like such a simple question, but you don't have a simple answer.
Of course you wanted to. You aren't an idiot, despite what Wilson tells you.
You held back, but why?
You have to ask yourself that question, but you aren't sure you know the answer.
When you finally come up with something, it sounds fucking stupid, but you say it anyway.
"Because I loved you," you tell her.
"Liar," she says with a grin, but you don't smile back.
You aren't sure you were lying.
