Dance with me?
Piper's POV
It is warm evening on the Argo II and Percy, Annabeth, Jason, Hazel, Frank, Leo and I are sitting on the deck. What can we do? We all had a pretty normal day and only got attacked once today, while flying, by a wind spirit so we decided to sail on the water again. Suddenly Leo gasped and he got this excited glint in his eyes. "Be right back!" He shouted as he got up and ran down stairs to his cabin. "Any idea what he's up to?" Jason said as he laced his fingers in mine.
We heard Leo's footsteps coming up the stairs and he appeared, grinning with a guitar in his hand. We all raised our eyebrows and gave him a look. "What? We're all so bored just sitting here with our ADHD brains so I thought 'Hey Leo, didn't you remember you can play the guitar?' I'm so awesome!" he said with a mischievous grin. Jason and I rolled our eyes. "Where did you learn to play guitar?" Hazel asked with a smile on her face. " My mom taught me before she died." There was silence. "I know a couple of Spanish songs though and I have to say, I'm not that bad." Leo said with a smile on his face. We all looked at him while he looked at the guitar, trying to remember the songs. Then he started to pluck and strum a beautiful song. I had never thought Leo was into this kind of music, as it was so gentle and soft.
Then Percy got up and stood in front of Annabeth. "Shall we have this dance?" he said, his sea green eyes sparkling at Annabeth, staring softly into her stormy grey eyes. She blushed then said, "You shall if you don't step on my toes like you did on Olympus." She said winking. Percy wanted to protest as we all giggled but just offered Annabeth his hand. He pulled her up and we watched as the two just waltzed around the deck, with Percy's hands around her waist and her hands around his neck. He actually wasn't a bad dancer and neither was she. The smiled at each other while dancing and stared into each other's eyes.
Then Jason decided we should join them and offered me his hand. I took it and we both walked to a spot to go try and slow dance. I looked into his lightening blue eyes and melted inside. He was so handsome and I loved him so much. He gave me a big smile and proceeded to rock back and forth with his arms around me and my arms around his neck.
Soon enough Hazel and Frank awkwardly got up and tried to dance. Leo looked up and smiled at me, while he was still playing, and I mouthed a thank you back to him. He nodded, obviously pleased with himself, and turned back to his guitar and started to play a new tune. It was more cheerful and soon he started singing a Spanish song along with the tune. We all burst out laughing and so did he.
Jason took my hand and we both went to sit down again by Frank and Hazel. Percy and Annabeth brought us some cushions and blankets, and they were lying on a blanket. Water appeared in Percy's palm and he started moving his fingers around, twisting the water into a shape. He stopped and he examined the sculpture he had created. It was the Argo II. We all smiled and he looked up to see our faces and why we were laughing. "You're getting better at that Seaweed Brain." Annabeth said giving him a beautiful smile. He stifled a laugh and said, "You know I do practice things." She giggled and we all just sat and enjoyed the evening as Leo plucked the guitar strings for us.
