It's over.
The war is over once and dfor all - not just postponed for a later time. Loses were suffered, and mostly on the side of Good. Blood ran down the rainy streets of London that final night in rivers. And most of it was the blood of people we knew - and our own. Many people sacrificed themselves so that the war would end, and it is time the world knows who they are.
Severus Snape was murdered after it was discovered that he was playing a double agent in Voldemort's ranks - there wasn't enough left of him to put in a matchbox, much less give a proper burial. However, the information that he risked his life to get was useful, and helped in our victory.
Draco Malfoy was killed during the final battle when he threw himself in front of a blast meant to kill world reknowned Auror Hermione Granger.
Marcus Flint dissapeared shortly after that, but not before the remainder of the Death Eaters were either killed of rounded up to be placed in Azkaban. His whereabouts are unknown, as well as whether or not he is dead.
Mr. Ludo Bagman fell victim to a stray curse, and bled to death on the night of the battle.
Parvati and Padma Patil were killed three days before the final battle. The sisters were trained Aurors and were nearly as known as Hermione Granger, Ronald Weasly and Harry Potter - for all of the good they did.
Percy Weasly was killed that night by Lucious Malfoy after stopping him from attacking Potter. Malfoy tortured him before killing him, and it is believed that Mr. Weasly was on the target list anyway, since he was to become Minister of Magic three weeks later... The job was given to his father, Arthur Weasly.
The Creevey brothers were killed during the battle in the backlash of curse meeting curse head on in their duels against two Death Eaters, both of which were identified as Vincent Crabbe and Gregory Goyle.
Seamus and Lavender Finnigan were attacked in their home three days before as the Dark Lord tried to but a dent in the forces of good. Both were Aurors and their infant son was killed as well.
All of the above mentioned people except for Mr. Bagman were members of the world reknowned Order of the Phoenix, and their names can be found in the trophy room of Hogwarts. This reporter wishes the familes of those lost, and all of those lost what were not mentioned, our sincerest condolences.
