She was like a puppetmaster, controlling people. The puppet got to Robin, and one by one the Titans started disappearing. Only then, did he figure out that the little puppet was the key, but it was too late. The creature hidden in the dark no longer hid.

Prologue

The giant, electric bug terrorized about three dozen people before five teenagers stormed in to the parade. The red head's eyes glowed a piercing emerald green as she lifted a hand up to level with her face and struck a bolt of her powers at the creature's enormous face. The bug stared at her and tapped his pinchers twice, preparing to retreat. The green eagle was now a person, but as quickly as he came, he left into a T-Rex. The bug didn't move. The robotic man's hand flashed into a cannon, sending a shockwave towards the giant bug.

Again, it didn't move.

The spiky-haired masked teenager squinted his eyes as he stared at the creature in amazement. It didn't want to fight. Still, he flung a Bird-A-Rang at the monster before it finally crouched down, as if admitting defeat. Its head lowered, and its massive red, flashing eyes faded in color. The leader walked up to it and placed a hand gently on the head.

It had given up without a fight, he thought. Yet, beneath his hand he felt a vibration, as if the thing had a pulse coursing through its body. The teen's eyes widened. A black shield, created by the pale blue-hooded girl, encased the robotic figure before a large, white explosion occured. The five just stood there in confusion, staring at the place where the creature had stood.

Piercing light hazel eyes examined the five super-heroes as they had come into her sight. Those were the only things able to be seen. Her eyes. She eyed the cyborg with mild curiousity. His strength was great, but he wouldn't be too difficult. The green one, she thought, could be slippery, though, but easily tricked. The pale one would be more difficult, for she concentrated on her opponent and unleashed more skill.

Still, it wasn't the main focus. Now, the red-head she wanted to get rid the most. She had seen her often interacting with the leader more than any one else. And the leader was the one she truly wanted. No one knew what she was except the girl that she had taken. Yet everyone will soon fear her.
