Marcus pressed his cell phone, something Seth and Heidi had said he needed. He hadn't really seen the point of the device until Seth had been taken back to the states and away from him. The device had become his lifeline to the young shifter. Now; however, Seth wasn't answering his own cell phone.

It had only taken a day of not talking to Seth for Marcus to realize just how much he had come to depend on him. This separation... he couldn't handle it. When Seth didn't answer his phone for a second day in a row, Marcus only getting his "Hey you've gotten Seth! Looks like I missed your call. Leave me a message and I'll call you back" voice mail, he had made a split second decision.

And that was how he had found himself stepping off a plane in Seattle, WA. Twenty minutes later he found himself behind the wheel of a rental car for the first time in... well for the first time. He had watched the dynamics of it, it couldn't be that hard.

Marcus hit the speed dial for Seth again and held the phone to his ear. "Hey you've gotten Seth! Looks like I missed your call. Leave me a message and I'll call you back." Marcus growled just as another car honked angrily at him. He glared as the driver sped around him.

Marcus had barely set foot over the treaty line that he knew nothing about when he was tackled by a large, sandy colored wolf, pushing him back across the line. When they stopped rolling Marcus found himself looking up at Seth. Relief spread through his body, he hadn't realized just how much he had missed Seth until now.

"What were you thinking?" Seth demanded. "If I had been one of the others you would have been torn to bits!"

"You didn't answer your phone," Marcus stated, ignoring Seth's rant as he cupped the other's cheeks.

Seth sighed. "It got broken accidentally. I was getting a new one tomorrow, it was a holiday yesterday, no place was open. You need to be more careful Marcus."

"You need to come back to Volterra with me."

"Why?" Seth asked softly. "You didn't stop me when you had the chance. I asked if you wanted me to go. You told me to go. Do you know how much that hurt?"

Marcus pulled Seth down into a kiss. Seth was breathless when it ended. "I thought you would be happy to see your family. If I had known you didn't want to go I would have stopped you."

Seth stared at Marcus, his eyes telling every one of his conflicted emotions. "You-you... God, I love you." Seth kissed Marcus again. "Don't let me leave again," Seth whispered.

"Never," Marcus swore claiming Seth's lips again.
