Hey guys! What is this? YUP it's an intro! Anyway, the summary to this is kind of confusing. It gets a LOT better as the plot thickens, I promise.
It may seem like the average "marriage law"/ Hermione loses her memory story, but I PROMISE YOU . ITS NOT!
Hehe hope you guys love this chapter and story 3
I don't own ANY of Harry Potter, as much as I would love to ... sigh .
Enough with my rambling. Enjoy!
Introduction
Hermione Granger was calmly reading in her bedroom when a silvery eagle swept into her window. She immediately jumped to her feet as the Patronus reported an emergency in the Spell malfunction ward. Healer Granger, we need you on duty immediately. A mass firing has occurred near Weasley's Joke Shop.Hermione quickly grabbed her wand and apparated away.
She arrived to a chaotic scene in the hospital. Every single Healer she knew was attending to a patient. She was looking for a way to escape into the Spells ward when she felt a hand tugging on her Healer robes. She looked down to see a child, about five years old, but his face was half burned and the skin was peeling to reveal muscle and blood. She fought the urge to throw up and gently pried open his fingers. The boy looked at her sadly as a nurse came to pick him up.
"Healer Granger! We need you here immediately!" Her boss saw her and dragged her into a private room. Hermione snapped into professional mode.
"What's the problem and what's his status?"
"He has a puncture in his lung, broken ribs, and he's losing blood steadily. Head concussion, missing a finger." Hermione looked at the patient in horror.
"What happened?"
"No time for that, he's losing blood!"
Hermione nodded her determinedly, knowing that there would be a family devastated if he died. She held her hand out for a potion to calm the man down, and felt something cool slide into her hand. She had just slipped it into his mouth when she heard a cry.
"NO-" The man suddenly started jerking all over the place. Her boss grabbed his wand to calm the man down with a stronger spell. Just as she finished the spell, the man kicked his leg, making the wand point at Hermione.
She was frozen, unable to move, watching as the beam of blue light shine toward her face. It was inches away when she felt someone knock her away from the spell. Unfortunately, they knocked into a table full of potions. Hermione saw as her boss cast a protective spell over everyone, but there wasn't enough time to cast one over Hermione.
The potions that had dropped onto the floor bubbled dangerously near Hermione's face, where she had fallen. She was about to get up when she felt someone cast a Body-Lock spell on her. The potions, finally, had reached a dangerous potency and the last thing she saw was a lock of bright red hair.
.:.
"She's awake!" Hermione's mom rushed over to her daughter's bed, Harry and Ron following her like a trail of lost puppies. Hermione blinked her eyes slowly, focusing on her mother, not seeing the two boys yet.
"Mom?" Mrs. Granger stepped forward with tears in her eyes, beckoning for a hug. Hermione hugged her gratefully when she focused on the two boys behind her.
"I'm sorry…Who are you?"
"Don't be silly, Hermione, we're your best friends!" Ron joked playfully. Hermione narrowed her eyes, confused.
"I-I don't remember you. Did you do this to me? No. Get away from me!" Hermione started sobbing uncontrollably, grasping at her mom's comforting grasp. The Healers stepped forward blocking Harry and Ron from getting closer to her.
"I'm sorry, I don't think you should see her."
"But she's our best friend!"
"There are two choices in this matter. It seems that Ms. Granger has lost her memories. She can either go through an operation that has not been tested yet to regain her memories, or we can obliviate her of this recent memory and everything magical. The operation can be very dangerous and painful. I recommend that Ms. Granger just loses her memory of everything magical and lives life as a muggle. Of course, Mr. Potter and Mr. Weasley will not be able to see her either." The Healer then looked towards Hermione's mom, her eyebrows raised in question.
Mrs. Granger wiped her eyes and looked up. "I… I don't want my Hermione to go through any more pain… I-she'll lose her memories, and live life as a human." Harry and Ron stared at her in horror.
The Healer nodded and looked towards the still sobbing girl. She raised her wand and whispered, "Obliviate."
