I swerved into the gates, breaking them down. I had to get their faster, I couldn't let her die. Alarms started sounding and gunshots started ringing. I sped up, she was right there. I jumped out of the car and ran into a small solid iron building. On my way, I felt at least three bullets pierce me, one in my right arm, one in my left leg, and the other my right shoulder. I pulled out my sig and took fire at the six men standing there. I took a couple of shots at each of them, and then took cover behind the iron door, so I could change my ammo.
Jumping back out, I felt four more bullets pierce my skin, but it wasn't going to stop me. I took fire and managed to send kill shots at every one of them, it was amazing what adrenaline and determination could do. I ran inside the building as fast as I could, ignoring the pain in both legs and arms and leaving the door open, and then I saw a bruised and battered Ziva.
Her face was bruised and a horrible red-purple color. Her bare feet were broken where they had been stepped on way too hard and often. Her eyes were bloodshot and her nose was turned at an odd angle where it had been broken, then healed oddly, then rebroken, and the process repeating several times.
"Ziva! Oh my god! Ziva!" I yelled and she stirred a bit. I ran over to her and untied her, pulling her into my lap.
"Ziva, honey? Talk to me, please. Please, Ziva." I whispered.
"Tony." She whispered in a weak, barely audible voice.
"Yeah, Ziva. I'm here. Come on. I'm taking you home." I said, lifting her up carefully and grunting because of the strain on my arms and legs.
"Thank you." I heard her whisper again.
"Ziva, after what I did to you, you deserve a lot more." I said back to her, laying her in the back seat of my abandoned car. I had to get her to a hospital fast, so I strapped her in carefully and rushed out of the damned prison she was being held in. I fumbled with my phone and pushed speed dial three, Gibbs.
"DiNozzo! What the hell are you?"
"Boss! I'm taking Ziva to a hospital in Africa; I don't know which one yet, just probably one in Egypt, where we'll be out of the Horn of Africa. Get to Africa, ASAP. Bye." I said, not giving Gibbs a chance to tell me off for leaving to get Ziva without him and McGee.
"Ziva. You still with me?" I asked.
"Yes Tony. There is a hospital right as you enter Cairo." Ziva said, regaining a little bit of strength.
"Thank you Ziva." I said and pushed the gad pedal down even more. "Ziva, I want to let you know something just in case something like this ever happens again." I paused. "Ti amo or Ani Ohev Otach, either way it means….. I love you."
