Her mug of tea hit the floor when she saw the two lines. Those two lines meant everything to her. Those two lines were lines she had only ever dreamed of seeing – Clara Oswald, the Impossible Girl, the Soufflé Girl – was pregnant.

"Doctor!" she called excitedly, almost bouncing on the spot in excitement but holding herself back because of the being growing inside of her. He dashed around the door then, eyes widening when she showed him the little test. "Haha! Clara Oswald, you beautiful human! I love you," he cried, peppering her with kisses and a warm hug. Smiles spread across both of their faces as they held each other and processed the joy of it all.

Four months later

"Doctor! How could you be so late? It's been months!" Clara shouted in distress as he landed his TARDIS in the garage where she was hanging the clothes on the line. "This is our baby-"

He cut her off with a greeting kiss, and she melted into him. You can't stay angry at the Doctor for long – even when he's overshot and missed half a pregnancy. He broke away and held her arms.

"You're huge! You've swallowed a planet!"

"I'm pregnant."

"I know..."

He winked, and she laughed.

Two years after the birth

"Here comes the aeroplane! Here it comes! Zoom, zoom, zoom...!" Clara croaked, trying to sound bubbly despite her lack of sleep, and bopped their baby on the nose as the little girl swallowed the contents of the tiny spoon.

"That's a good Ellie, hm? Oh hello Doctor, Ellie's in a nice mood today. Also are you going to enrol her at that Montessori place we looked at? I asked my aunt Lisa, she's a teacher there..."

He smiled as she continued to talk about how wonderful the elementary school was, and how excited she was about Ellie growing up. Clara was always so beautiful when she was talking about things she loved.
