Room 101:
O'Brien screams at Winston, "Say it, say it and all this goes away!"
"I will never betray Julia, never." Came his reply
"Very well, since you shall not break, you shall not be."
Suddenly the wire cage, complete with rats, withdrew from his head. As Winston lets out a sigh of relief, O'Brien walks up to him, pulls out a pistol and fires once.
"Have all records of Winston Smith eliminated, he never existed."
Three years later:
Julia sits at the head of the long conference table, her faced etched with the scars of Room 101, before her sit three military generals
"Gentlemen," she begins, "For three long years we have waged a brutal, violent, bloody war against Big Brother. A necessary war, and now, we have finally taken over Airstrip One, Big Brother is fleeing, and Eurasia is sending food for our troops and our citizens. What is the next step?"
The three men looked at each other, unsure of what to say
"We need to organize and hold elections for a new leader, and any Big Brother supporters need to be detained and questioned for any potential military threat." She answered herself
One of the Generals spoke up, "What do we do about Goldstein and his followers?"
"We integrate them," she replied with a slight smile "for years, people of Oceania have been…taught to hate Goldstein, and while most adults remember pre-Big Brother, the children have been indoctrinated from birth, we need to show them that Big Brother was the evil, and we are the good, come to save them."
One week later…
There is a crowd of hundreds, maybe thousands, yelling and brandishing homemade weapons, all attempting to enter a single store
"Give us the bread!"
"We're starving!"
The twenty or so peacekeepers are being mobbed while trying to protect the store
"Damn Eastasians! Give us the food!"
"Eastasians, we're at war with Eurasia! You're a spy!"
Suddenly the crowd turned its attention to the poor man, who missed the last rally. As the peacekeepers try to protect the lone man, planes begin to appear overhead. With the mob transfixed by the hulking metal beasts, no one notices the thin black objects dropped by them. The street once more turned chaotic when the first of the bombs landed, sending bodies and parts flying everywhere, but nowhere was safe from Big Brothers last attempt to break the Brotherhoods hold on the city.
The next day…
"What the hell happened out there!" Julia screamed "Why were our people bombed in the streets? What happened to the air raid warnings?"
"A Big Brother sympathizer cut the wires before being spotted and captured." The man replied meekly
"Where is he now?" she asked
"Downstairs."
Julia flew out of the windowless boardroom in the former Ministry of Truth and took the steps two at a time. When she reached the right door, she opened it, and was rendered speechless by what she saw…
