Prologue –
It was a dark room, the only source of light was coming from small candles ready to be disposed off, and a hole in the room put there deliberately so the moon could shine in.
A woman walked into the centre of the room, she was a tall and beautiful, her black hair hung freely down her back and her purple eyes could make anyone fall into a trance.
"I'm here, my lord." She spoke with a calm voice.
"Good, Good," I male voice replied back. A man walked into the light of the room holding a large book with a faded green cover. "Any news?" He asked.
"Nothing. Meridian is acting the same as ever since the Highness took over."
The man, sighed, "Well, that will have to change."
"How, My Lord?" The woman asked with curiosity.
"Have you ever heard of 'The Guardians of the veil' my dear Velma." The man asked, closing the book.
"Yes, My Lord. Everyone has heard of them."
"Well," He laughed "Perhaps if we could sway and convince at least one of them that out highness is doing evil, then maybe-"
"I'm sorry my lord, that would be impossible." Velma had interrupted.
"Oh?"
"Well, My lord. The guardians are apparently friends of the highness – they would never turn against her."
"Well, we could try. Couldn't we?" He chuckled.
Velma remained silent as she fiddled with her hair; he knew she was considering things over and over. At last, she nodded "Continue."
"As I was saying, then maybe we could sneak in and take over."
"Which Guardian then, my Lord? Fire? Maybe the leader-"
"Water."
"My Lord?"
"Well, everyone underestimates water. We could teach that one her true ability so even if she realised were lying – she'll owe us. Big time."
"For teaching her a few magic tricks?"
"We'll 'save her life' several times, things like that."
"All staged of course, my Lord?"
"Of course. Velma, you can go and find her when you have news come back immediately."
"Yes, My Lord."
With a loud bang like thunder, Velma had disappeared.
The lord, looked at a puddles on the ground where he stood, laughing to himself.
This is going to be fun.
