Chapter 1
"First day of school!" Steph said excitedly as she ran up to me.
"Yay!" I said sarcastically.
"Don't you love school?" She asked cheery.
"Oh sure it's great, but you don't." I said. Truth is school did not really bother me. My name is Michelle; people usually call me Mich, or Shell. I'm a fifth year at Hogwarts, and I'm a Slytherin. I play beater on the quidditch team.
"Yes I do. What do you mean?" She asked innocently.
"Well you don't love school you love Harry and Draco," I said as she started staring off. I instantly recognized her daydream stare, I turned around and saw Draco Malfoy entering platform 9 ¾. We went through this every first day of school, and many other times during the year. Steph was my year too, as well as Brynna, Steve, and Warren. Steph was in Slytherin with me, Brynna and Steve were in Hufflepuff, and Warren was in Ravenclaw. Steph had an obsession with Harry and Draco since our first year.
"Look I see Steve and Brynna. Let's go find a compartment." I said trying to get her out of her trance. After about 5 minutes, Steve and Brynna came over and she was still not in our world. "Hey guys, a little help?"
"Getting worse huh?" Steve asked.
"Yes" I said as I started to laugh for really no reason.
"Oh hi guys" Steph suddenly said. I turned around to see that Draco was starting to leave. "Let's go find a compartment"
We walked on the train and found an empty compartment. A few minutes later Warren joined us.
"Oh yeah I just remembered I'm a prefect." Warren yelled as he jumped up and left.
"Idiot." I said under my breath.
"What did you say?" He asked.
"Oh…nothing" I replied. "Brynna aren't you a prefect too."
"Uh yeah…I guess I'll go." She said getting up and following Warren
Soon Draco came past our cabin and of course, Steph entered her trance again.
