Chapter 1: The Beginning, Banished
Raiden Hikagen, One year old
Area: Land of Thunder
Being the son of the leader of his clan, Raiden was getting a lot of attention as well as some unwanted visitors. This area, Village Hidden in the Thunder, was a place where spirits could be visible and take on a physical form. On Raiden's first birthday, an outraged spirit unexpectedly began unleashing havoc upon the village. Raiden's mother, who is the leader of the clan, fought fiercely with it, only to discover she was no match for it. She quickly used a forbidden secret sealing scroll, using it to seal the spirit in Raiden's small body. Shortly after using it, her charka completely drained, she fell to the ground.
"Take care of my son." She started to cough. "Make sure nothing happens to him..." Those were the last words of their great leader.
Five years later
Age: 6
A council developed to deal with the affairs of the village after the leader died.
"Over here. I'm open," yells Raiden running to the post.
"Outta my way shrimp," say a kid, knocking down Raiden, causing him to have a bloody nose. He catches the ball and begins to run to the other post.
"Hey! That's cheating," says a person on Raiden's team.
"It's not our fault he's so wimpy," another kid implies while laughing.
Raiden gets up and walks over to the one who pushed him over. Although he was the biggest kid there, it didn't stop Raiden from standing up to him. "SHUT UP!" Raiden demands, pulling his arm back to send that quick and powerful jab to his stomach so he would, and does, cough up blood. "Don't ever mess with me again!"
"Raiden! Come here, now!" His father yells furiously, as Raiden is lead into a room with dim lights.
"Raiden," an unknown voice says, "we have decided that you are a danger to all of us. In order to keep you and the village safe... you have been banished."
"What do you mean banished? You... but-"
"Take him somewhere he will be safe."
A tall person wearing a black hooded cloak grabbed Raiden's arm, dragging him out of the building.
"You have fifteen minutes to gather whatever you want to take with you."
Upon hearing these words, Raiden rushes to his former home to gather some clothing, his basic ninja tools, and what little money he has.
"Two minutes left. I'm forgetting something..." Raiden quietly says to himself remembering what he forgot. "SEIGMUND!"
He runs to get his pet owl when the cloaked stranger shows up. "Time's up." He says calmly to Raiden.
Ignoring him, Raiden dashes pass him to head to the basement of his house.
"Still stubborn I see." He says to himself. "I guess we're going to have to do this the hard way."
Raiden, now downstairs, picks up a cage as a screeching noise comes from it.
"What's wrong Seig?" Raiden asks his owl not expecting an answer. As Raiden began to turn around, he felt a sharp pain in his neck. With no time to react, Raiden fell, dropping the cage as he look up only to find the cloaked stranger. Blackout.
"Maybe I should take this..."
