Tempest

To have the volatile power of the gods at a beck and call, that is what teammates liked to describe her.

A maelstrom of compassion, loyalty, and strength.

She cracked the foundations of earth and split the sky at her call, she cleaved through stone and trees, and yet, she mended the earth, calmed the skies, healed the flesh of the people.

All encompassing and powerful; no one disrespected her. She had worked hard to become the tempest she is today, and no one could stop her.

Not one day without rest until blood, sweat, and tears. Not one hour of sleep until those on the mission were safe. Not one second of closure until those she loved were safe.

The legend goes, that at sunset, a storm howled and ripped through the nations of Fire, relentlessly beating the towns with lightening and fire, until sunrise, when only a quick flutter of wind signaled the birth of an unforgettable day.

Some legends say, on that night, she had fought with the sheer might of the earth like a wildchild tempest, calling on the elements to her disposal in a never ending assault blasting through the storm that dared to threaten the people, what was hers.

Others say she took away the grief and the agony and the suffering throughout the night, but the earth couldn't crack anymore and the winds became too broken, and eventually succumbing herself.

But the one part they all had in common was that when the morning rose, the storm had died down, leaving only a gentle warmth in its wake. The earth had sprouted again and the trees of the nation swayed with whispered breezes once more.

I have always imagined Sakura's element as the wind and earth (moreso stone); Sasuke's was fire and lightening, Naruto's lightening and earth (moreso dirt and grass).

I hope you enjoyed it.

Should I continue a series of one-shots?
