Boredom
By angellwings
Stella was officially bored. The guys had begged her to join them on tour, and she had thought 'Why not, it's not like I have anything else to do'. She hadn't thought about the hours spent traveling on their bus, and of course the boys weren't considerate enough to keep her entertained. Muffled screams could be heard whizzing by them as they drove down the interstate. She rolled her eyes at the sound. How did these girls always know which bus belonged to the guys? She'd have to remember to ask Macy if there was some secret fangirl messaging system. Oh Macy, what Stella wouldn't give to have her around right now. She would for sure keep her entertained. Stella stood up and walked toward the TV room in the back of the bus. She could hear Kevin snoring as she approached the door. She carefully slid the door open, and smiled affectionately at her three long time friends. They were all so exhausted. How could she blame them for that? They worked hard. Her eyes stopped on Joe and she shook her head. That boy was almost more trouble than he was worth.
She sighed and turned back to the front of the bus. Well, maybe she should just get some work done. She had some new designs to work on for the guys anyway. She pulled out her sketch book and got to work. She wasn't expecting to start to nod off. She yawned and her head dipped forward. It wasn't long before she was too tired to focus on the sketches in front of her.
"Oh, screw it," She muttered to herself as set her sketch book down on the floor. She blinked and yawned again as she laid down on the couch she was seated on. It wasn't long before she was sound asleep.
The guys began to stir in the back room. Joe was the first to wake up. He looked up at the TV and studied the DVD menu. They must have fallen asleep while watching the movie. Kevin stirred and sat up with a loud sniff.
"Oh thank God," Joe exclaimed. "No more snoring."
"I do not snore," Kevin stated.
Joe raised an eyebrow at his older brother, "Okay, fine tonight we'll set up a tape recording and then let you listen to yourself in the morning."
Nick sat up and groggily looked back and forth between his brothers, "I can't sleep if Kevin's not snoring."
Joe laughed as Kevin grumpily crossed his arms over his chest, "I do not snore!"
Joe and Nick rolled their eyes. Joe suddenly began looking around the room, "Where's Stella?"
"Let's find out. STELLA! Hey STELLA! STE-"
"Kevin!" Nick scolded with a sigh. "We get it."
"Right," He said with a nod. Joe shook his head and stood up.
"How about we actually go LOOK for her," Nick suggested in a tired voice.
"Oh, well, that works too," Kevin said cheerfully as he stood.
"I'll check the front, you guys check the bunks," Joe said as he took charge. He headed directly to the front of the bus and froze. He smiled softly at the blonde as she slept on the couch. She looked so peaceful…too bad she couldn't be like that in real life. Then again he had a feeling his life would be very boring if she were. He picked up a blanket laying at the end of the couch and gently covered Stella with it. He stood back and watched for a few seconds before Kevin and Nick rushed in.
"Hey, Joe did you find-"
"Shhh!" He said as he turned and glared at his brothers. "She's sleeping."
"Oh, my bad," Kevin said in a stage whisper. "Aw, she looks like a viper."
Nick and Joe turned to Kevin with confused expressions.
"A viper, Kevin?"
"Yeah, you know how they slither around all silent like…BEFORE they strike that is," He clarified.
"Sure, Kev, sure," Joe said as he patted his older brother on the shoulder sympathetically.
"Just don't repeat that to Stella," Nick told him with a chuckle.
The lack of Stella stories on was astonishing to me...so I wrote one.
Enjoy!
