Me and my needs, dang it. By the way, the ending is suppose to be like that.
He sits there nonchalantly; everything is apparently fine. He's just eating pieces of candy and humming in agreement or disagreement. He's smiling and all, laughing here and there and teasing everyone.
Break. Break was acting normal.
So Gilbert sits there. He's just sitting there; everything isn't fine. He's drinking his usual tea since there's no more coffee and arguing a bit with Alice. He's talking to Oz and Sharon and he's just sitting there…
Staring. Staring at him with his brows knotted and a small line on his face.
Break. Break was not acting normal.
Even through that shattered façade, Gilbert could tell. Even if he doesn't care, he could still tell.
"Break, Gilbert, could you buy some more tea?"
Hesitantly, Gilbert agrees. Break enthusiastically agrees, skipping out of the room with Gilbert following him. The hallway is cold and dark, even with the moon shining down on them.
Break is in front and Gilbert is right behind him.
He hums and swings him arms around, like a petite little ballerina scare of falling. He takes notice that Emily isn't with him. And that gives him a chance to ask either where was Emily (like he cared) or why he was acting so weird.
Break catches him staring at him. He stares too, unsure of what the man wants.
"What?"
Gilbert catches that first word and he looks up. Gilbert is a couple of steps behind Break while he's on the stairs in front of him. He sees Break staring at him with real confusion. The red eyes were completely block. They were fragile, so fragile that one word Gilbert says might just break it, but completely surrounded with that fragile shield.
Do I really want to break that?
He shakes his head.
"Nevermind."
