Prologue

In the deserts of Ceran lies a castle. It is unseen except by the ancients of the realm. In it lies the guardian of the world. He protects us from devils, daemons, and dragons throughout all the years. His name is Alezad. But, a ten day ago 9 demons from the Abyss put a curse on him that split his soul into nine pieces and placed them into powerful artifacts that they entrusted to the mightiest evil in Ceran. Now he sends a cry of help to a champion of Ceran. To a young girl who doesn't even know who she is or how much power she wields.

"Melodi come here I need you."

"Yes Miss. What can I do for you."

"My husband and I need breakfast so if you don't mind…go get it." The old woman gave that wicked grin.

"Yes madam."

As Melodi exits the room the old woman turns to her husband and whispers, "We kill her when she comes back we don't know when she will be summoned."

"Okay"

"I need breakfast for the old couple on the third floor Merrie."

"Comin right up Melodi!"

At that a bright blue circle appears in the air and molds into a door. Out of it a woman in white with long blue hair and yellow skin steps out of the doorway.

"Melodi takes this you'll need it read if ever in trouble."

She disappeared right after with a near silent 'pop'.

Melodie looked at the parchment:

'Outside of time

Outside of space

Know only sorrow

Know only pain'

"An incantation?"

"Melodi your breakfast is up."

As she took the tray and went up the steps she peered into the room. No one was there…

"You little witch!"

The old woman appeared out of midair and a streak of lightning arced its way to Melodi.

She dived to the floor throwing the tray to the side.

"Now" The old woman screamed.

The man appeared above Melodi with a wand in his hand that dripped green goo.

"Sorry 'bout this lass but orders are orders."

Melodi scrambled with the parchment and read the incantation.

'Outside of time

Outside of space

Know only sorrow

Know only pain'

As she read the last word a vortex came and went around the old couple. Melodi closed her eyes and screamed. Then it was over as fast as it started. When she looked down at the paper the words were no longer there but a picture of the old couple and a cyclone around them.

"Melodi what happened in here?"

"Merrie, they attacked me and I don't…"

"No worries lets get this place cleaned up."
