Tino, Berwald and Seal are heading out to go Christmas shopping, when disaster strikes. Hurt/Romance
The day was going great, Berwald was waiting by the front door, checking his watch a little impatiently. He'd told them they were leaving at noon exactly… where they? Frowning a bit he peeked up the stairs, hearing some commotion up there.
"Mama! I finished my list!" Seal came bounding out of his room, traces of red marker on his cheeks as he waved the piece of paper around in front of Tino who had just finished getting dressed. The younger man smiled and patted the kid on the head before he carefully took the list.
"Sounds good, I think Santa will get you something you really want." He nodded and hurried him down the stairs to the waiting Sweden.
He got their coats out and helped Peter into his, buttoning it up for him and tucking his scarf around his neck. Pulling his own on he smiled up at Berwald.
"Cheer up a bit, we'll have fun." He smiled and laughed softly, pulling a hat over Berwald's head. Grabbing the car keys he ushered Peter out the door, running after him in the snow towards the car.
Berwald followed them out, watching them with an odd little smile turning his lips. Moments like this were rare and precious. The three piled into the car after brushing the fresh snow off of it and warming it up. Buckling Seal into the back seat took a bit of work but once Tino had him in he made a sound of triumph and clambered into the driver's seat. Berwald trusted his wife to drive this weather. The Fin was probably much better at it than he was. He knew the roads and the ice that hide under the fine icing sugar dusting of snow.
Soon Christmas carols filled the car, the little kid in the back joining in with the singing as Tino mimicked the singer's voice perfectly. They got the mall without incident, the car ride filled with warm singing and laughter. It all seemed so perfect.
As soon as they were through those glass doors, Berwald had to tighten his hold on Peter's hand to keep him from running off into the glittering mall. Tino was beaming and asking what the boy wanted to first.
"SANTA! I want to go see Santa first mama!" The little blond kid looked up at Tino as he said that, grinning excitedly as he tugged on both his parent's hands.
Tino nodded and laughed, "Santa it is then!" He pointed off to the middle of the mall, a path of small white crystal lights guiding them towards the large North Pole castle set up. It was like something out of a fairy tale. All white, red, green and gold. Shimmering lights and raindeer, little elves and giant wrapped presents under decorated trees. White fluffy snow decorated everything and a giant red and white pole looking like a candy cane stretched up above it all with a sign proclaiming this as the North Pole. Peter was thrilled by the sight, tearing his hands away from Berwald's and Tino's he ran up the red carpet walk way towards the throne that held the jolly man of Christmas. One of Santa's elves stopped him and gave him a candy cane as the kid who was currently having his picture taken with the big man finished telling Santa his wish.
Tino caught up to his son and scooped him up into his arms.
"Hey! You're not going without me are you? Mommy wants to see Santa too!" He laughed and tickled the boys sides making his squirm and squeal as Berwald caught up at his own slow pace. He enjoyed watching the two. He patted them both of the head.
"M' wife is j'st like m' s'n." He said in his low lumbering tone.
Tino turned and gave him a stern look at that, "not your wife." He scolded before he leaned up and pecked him on the cheek smiling again.
