Oh. Hi.

Such a beautiful sight it was. The boy with two pairs of ears was lying on the floor, shaking; bones rattling from the outside force pushing into his body. The mother, who had only one pair of ears and long flowing hair with such a beautiful, absolutely gorgeous face was looming above. Her petite body was shaking and rumbling for a completely different reason.

The two were smiling in such a way that would leave the most dictating person out there speechless. Their eyes gleaming in the dark; bodies illuminated by the only light source available, the moon peaking from the open window, not daring to fully show his face. Grunts and other disgusting sounds could be heard through the cracks of the house, but none of the neighbors dared to listen anymore, knowing they could do as much help as jell-o could support itself. If the boy didn't want any help, why should they even try?

-And the mother just wouldn't stop. It was like she was aiming for a gold medal with the way she continuously raised her arm back and forth, up and down; bringing her so-called "Hammer of Justice" down on the poor boy. That wasn't even the worst part! Her hammer was an actual hammer. Something that could actually kill the lad, paralyze him.

In her logic if her son wasn't breathing, wasn't moving, he wouldn't be able to sin. So in her eyes she was protecting him from being damned. Oh wasn't she just the sweetest, most amazing mother ever? Her son thought so. Anything to keep her naughty son from misbehaving ever again.

He loved her for hitting him, for showing that she cared about his future. It was a beautiful act of kindness if you asked him, but he was crazy. They both were, really. The pair were so entrapped in their own little world that neither could notice the tears streaming from the others' eyes, the self hatred, the loneliness. That wasn't the worst part of the situation either.

The only thing they did notice was the reflected smile of the other, barely holding itself up as it twitched on both of their faces'. From an outsider's point of view, it looked demented; on the brink of insanity if it wasn't already well on the other side.

Such a beautiful sight indeed.

Haaaah. Just wanted to say happy birthday daughter of mine and I guess I can say the same for ThesePaperWings who shares it with her.
