Nina's POV
I was sitting in my room reading The Hunger Games series while Amber was painting her nails, again. She kept asking me which color looked best on her, but I wasn't really paying attention to her. Amber kept going on and on about how she wanted to look good for the house game night. Since Victor was out for the night doing who knows what, Trudy said that we could stay up as late as we want to because tomorrow is Saturday.
Amber: So Nina, what are you going to wear tonight?
Nina: Um, pajamas?
Amber: Nina, Nina, Nina. You need to look cute if you want to impress Fabian!
Nina: Who says I want to impress Fabian?
I was hoping that she wouldn't me blush, but I failed.
Amber: Nina! Everyone knows he's like, TOTALLY IN LOVE WITH YOU!
Nina: SHHH! Amber! I don't think they heard you in CHINA!
Amber: Sorry… but you HAVE to let me doll you up for Fabian!
Nina: If that will keep you from screaming…
Amber: Yay!
As soon as I said that, I regretted it. Amber painted my nails pink, did my hair, and gave me her favorite orange sweatshirt to wear. I still insisted on my plaid sweatpants, which actually matched Amber's clothes pretty well. After Amber was done "dolling me up" we went downstairs to game night. Everyone was already downstairs so they had already convinced everyone to play Truth or Dare. I sat down next Fabian, as usual. Amber sat on my other side.
Amber: Ok Nina, truth or dare?
Nina: Truth.
Amber: Ok, do you like Fabian?
I opened my eyes widely and quickly answered.
Nina: Of course I like Fabian! He's like my best friend!
Amber: No, I meant as more than a friend!
Nina: Sorry Amber, only one question.
Amber: Awwwww…
Nina: Ok Jerome, truth or dare?
Jerome: Dare, I'm not afraid of anything.
Nina: Ok, I dare you to go wake up Trudy and tell her she's pretty.
Jerome: Now that's just plain weird, Martin.
Nina: Hey you said you weren't afraid of anything!
Jerome: Fine, but just remember that payback sucks!
Jerome went into Trudy's room, woke her up, and told him her she was pretty. She then told him that that was very nice, but to go back to bed. Everyone was laughing as Jerome came back into the room.
Jerome: You will pay for that, Martin!
Nina: Oooh, I'm scared!
Mara: Anyway, Jerome it's your turn.
Jerome: Right, Fabian, truth or dare?
Fabian: Dare.
A devilish grin appeared on Jerome's face.
Jerome: Ok. I dare you to kiss Nina for a full minute! I told you payback sucks, Martin.
Fabian: Um…
Amber: It's a dare! You have to do it!
Nina: AMBER!
Fabian: Okay…
Fabian leans in and Nina meets him. They kiss and it feels like fireworks. They kiss for what seems like the longest time, but eventually break apart to breathe.
Amber: Awwwww… what a Hallmark moment!
Nina: Amber!
Fabian: Nina, will you be my girlfriend?
Amber: I dare you to say yes!
Mara: Shh! Quiet!
Amber: Sorry!
Nina: I would love to be your girlfriend.
They kiss again and the whole house cheers.
Nina: You know for being the king of pranks, you're really bad at revenge, Jerome!
Jerome: Watch it, Martin.
Fabian then kisses Nina and they know that they'll be happy together.
